A fantastic modern apartment with a communal swimming pool in the charming Poblenou area. The apartment has an open plan lounge / dining area, a fully equiped kitchen, two double bedrooms, two bathrooms and a lovely sunny terrace. Two metro lines are a short walk away and the #7 bus takes you to Paseo de Gracia in the centre in 15 min. The beach is a very pleasant 15 min stroll straight down the lovely tree lined pedestrian Rambla Poblenou. Our apartment is centrally positioned on the top floor of one of Poblenou’s best contemporary design residential buildings and it provides a great opportunity to stay in a white, light filled penthouse apartment in this popular district of Barcelona. Poblenou enjoys an enviable location; close to the city centre for fast easy and convenient access but far enough away to retain its village like feel. With three of Barcelona's beaches it's a definite contender for a base to stay in Barcelona. This apartment has a simple symmetrical plan and a modern interior, with wood, white walls and terrazzo flooring. The large open living space has floor to ceiling glazed sliding doors which lead directly onto a private terrace. This central high level terrace is the perfect spot for breakfast lunch or dinner and faces directly onto the main element of the architects plan - a beautifully maintained secluded interior garden square with children’s play area, paddling pool and 18 metre swimming pool. Both double bedrooms have large - 160 cm x 2.0 metre double beds with firm mattresses and the master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom. There are additionally two 110 cm wide x 190 cm long comfortable click down sofa beds in the living area. Most of the bed linen and towels are high quality John Lewis Egyptian cotton with soft feather pillows which makes for a luxury experience. This large apartment is both very quiet and very light, and it is equipped with everything you might need for a fabulous stay in Barcelona: air conditioning, central heating and free Wi-Fi. The kitchen is fully equipped and has everything you might expect, including : main oven, hob/extractor, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, toaster, cookware, utensils and a kettle too. The apartment has step free access from street level right into the apartment and is served by two lifts, so this apartment not only provides easy practical access for anyone using a wheelchair or a child’s buggy but it is also a great place to be once you are inside. The building also has a concierge during daytime and there is a public car park nearby. Please let us know if you think that you´ll arrive after 20h at the flat, as there is a late check in fee for late arrivals. We can offer you a baby pack consisting in a baby cot and a high chair for only 5€/night. This apartment has an official tourist apartment license from the city council and the license number is shown in this listing. There is a late check in fee of 25€ for arrivals after 21h, and 35€ for arrivals after 23h. In any of both cases, please inform the host before booking. Jepis and his team will manage your booking from start to finish and after making a reservation you will receive a document with useful information and a request for details of your visit. Jepis will meet you on arrival at the flat to welcome you and check you in. Our contact numbers and email will be provided for whatever you may need during or after your stay and to avoid international call charges you can use a phone app as there is free wi-fi in the flat and also in many places in the city. The apartment is very quiet and very light and is located right next to the delightful tree lined Rambla del Poblenou which is filled with great local shops, cafes, restaurants, and is the heart and social hub of the area…. and best of all, a pleasant stroll down this charming wide walkway brings you directly to one of the city's best sandy beaches. Within a few minutes’ walk you will also find a public sports centre, low cost bike hire, and a large shopping centre with cinemas, supermarkets restaurants and fashion shops. Poblenou has many green spaces a laid back sunny atmosphere and of course the Mediterranean Sea. The area is perfect for anyone who wants a calm local and charming neighbourhood experience, be close to the beach, yet have quick easy access to the frenzy of the city centre. The apartment is well positioned for transport as metro lines 1 and 3 ( Glories and Llacuna stations ) are a short walk from the flat. Both lines take you directly to the city centre as does the number 7 bus which stops nearby and takes you to the centre and Paseo de Gracia. The beach is reached with a very pleasant walk down the nearby Rambla del Poblenou. We only rent this flat to couples and families. It is not available to groups of single people. There is a late check in fee of 25€ for all arivals at the flat after 20h, and 35€ for arrivals after 23h to be paid cash at the check in process. The bed and mattress in both roooms are new.!! Changed in Jan 2019. We can provide our guests with a ¨baby pack¨ for only 5€ per night. It includes, high chair, baby cot with bed linnen and extra set of towels.
