SOMERSET COTTAGE, RURAL PEACE - GREAT STAYCATION
We offer self-catering accommodation in our characterful grade II listed cottage, located in the stunning Chew Valley, with lots of beautiful walks on the doorstep. We are so lucky to live where we are and we love to share it. We are 200m from the Stanton Drew stone circle. You can walk North, East, South and West and discover beautiful countryside and within an easy walk you can enjoy fab views over Bristol, the Severn estuary, North Devon and the Mendips from Maes Knoll Tump. Perfect strolls that can incorporate great country pubs in Chew Magna, Pensford and the Michelin starred Pony and Trap. By car we are 20 minutes drive from Bristol and thirty minutes from Bath and Wells. There is a limited but regular bus service from the village. Uber operate in the locality and local taxis can be ordered and are detailed in the welcome pack. The village has a pub the Druids Arms. The next village of Chew Magna is a real foodie hub that is a 30 minute walk away following a green lane or 5 minutes in the car. It can cater for most of your needs for a weekend, with Jars deli selling great cakes, pastries, breads and deli specials, Moondance cafe for great coffee, sandwiches et al. Pearce's butcher's selling local meats and cheese. The CO-OP has a good range of products. You will be given parking permits to allow you to park in the village car parking.
