Cute Little Barn South Hams
Little Barn's in the busy bustling village of Marldon. Set on the border of the South Hams and Torbay, there are two Local pubs, a convenience store a post office and a garage. Offering a feast of activities in all the sorrounding areas. A 15 minuit drive to the unusual market Town of Totnes, 5 min drive to Preston Sands, a foot path on the doorstep to Cockington Village. Lots of lovely walks, beaches and wonderful Devonshire Heratage. This little gem is easy access to anywhere in Devon. Little Barn is a rustic yet contemporary one-bedroom self-contained maisonette. The Bed is a small double 4/6 and the ceiling in the bedroom has a low beam. So really not suitable for super tall people unless your prepared to duck then you'll be OK . It has a well-equipped kitchen, lounge/diner with a comfy sofa and TV. Slate stairs lead to the double bedroom with gorgeous countryside views and compact an ensuite bathroom. Subtle lighting and stylish design throughout, Little Barn offers a tranquil home from-home vibe. Free WIFI and Parking out side. Little Barn is small with Low ceilings. You will be met with by Sally with a key, check in is at 2pm and Check out at 11.00. If it happens that I am away I will leave the key in the key box attached to the from door. We live in the property next door . We're kind of bang in the middle of everything in Marldon. There is so much to see and do in South Devon. Walking distance or a short bus ride away you can catch the famous steam train to Agatha Christie's house in Greenway or jump off at the navel Port of Dartmouth with its stunning rickety old Tudor Houses and magnificent Yachts set in the idealic waters of the river Dart. Of corse for those who love hiking Dartmoor is a 20 minuet drive from here and if you are an animal lover you will surely come across its famous wild pony's amongst an abundance of other wild life. Torbay that has its own eco climate is also extremely close where seals , Dolphins and Whales can be spotted. There are caves at Kents Cavern to explore where first Neanderthal mens bones where discovered. Superb restaurants along the sea front and harbour too. Not forgetting South Hams has some of the most outstanding beaches in the world for surfers or bathers a like. 3 local Train Stations, Totnes 5 miles, Newton Abbot 4 miles, Paignton 2 miles. Cycle Paths and Costal walking Paths everywhere. Hitching is very popular from here to Totnes. Busses from Totnes to Kingsbridge and Salcombe. . Well behaved dogs welcome. No out door space but there is a meadow with woods directly opposite the barn for dog walkers and plenty of other local walks. There is also a convenience store opposite and a Garage so the road can get busy with people popping in and out but it provides every thing you need if you don't wish to eat out.
