The property is a recently built self-contained attic nestled in Portslade village, overlooking the park. It offers a spacious open plan living area suitable for up to 4 guests. A 22m square open plan small living area with sofabed, chair and TV, hanging space, Fast Wi-Fi. Kitchenette with dining table to eat/work on, microwave, kettle, Nspresso machine, toaster and fridge. The bathroom has a shower, basin & toilet, with a large mirror. Probably the most lovely feature of the whole place is the light and the views. Everyone comments on how airy and relaxing it feels. You can sit on the couch and watch the off shore wind farm. Or sit in bed and look at the trees waving in the park. We really love interior design so you will find lots of nice touches, such as good quality bedding, comfortable cushions and throws, warm soft carpeting and luxury items such as a coffee maker and double walk-in shower. We are experienced hosts but this is our first custom_designed AirBnB space and we have tried to think of everything you may need on a short trip to Brighton. We know that everyone likes privacy and also that cooking facilities are a must at the moment. We have installed a beautiful kitchen with all modern appliances. The house was just finished in January so everything’s brand new. The bed is a John Lewis mattress with top quality sheets, blankets and duvets/pillows. The attic bedroom is cosy and quiet. With the blackout blinds, you should get an excellent nights sleep. Recent guests suggested we add that the skylight above the bed offers wonderful opportunities for stargazing on clear nights. We hope you get to experience that! All guests can use the key safe to check in themselves. Accommodation is upstairs and we would ask that you keep to this area only. We will have a temporary partition downstairs so that the division between the two residences is clear. It was our intention to create a solid wall but lockdown has slowed our progress so please just respect our privacy as we will certainly respect yours. All the upstairs area is your apartment, with a landing, bathroom, bedroom and open plan sitting room, dining area with three chairs and kitchen. If you are travelling with a small child we can accommodate you too - Let us know if you would like an single air bed in your bedroom for your child as this can be arranged. The third dining chair is an Ikea child’s chair suitable for 3 upwards. Sorry we don’t supply a travel cot due to concerns over safety. You are welcome to choose a self check in and keep yourself completely private. Alternatively we are happy to meet you and offer tips about the local area. We do have a cat as you can see in the pictures, so please bear in mind that she could possibly wander. Portslade village is a hidden gem on the outskirts of Brighton. It boasts the oldest structure in the area and a Norman church dating back to the 11th century. It is very close to the South Downs - if you choose to, you can walk to Devils Dyke in one hour. The area is very green and our house is actually backing on to Easthill Park which is a lovely quiet park with lots of mature trees, a cafe and a childrens' playground. You can park on our drive. There is also a station nearby - a short walk down the hill. This listing is for a private suite upstairs in a house. Currently there is no dividing wall, so privacy is obtained by being on a different floor. Please be considerate about noise. We haven’t offered access to the garden but the park is only a few doors away and there is green space all around. Breakfast consists of tea, coffee, bread, butter, milk cereal and small cakes to last a few days. For bookings of more than a few days, a welcome package of the above is included but will not be replenished.
