The water is always warm and rich with marine life. Water sports such as jet ski, kayaking, surfing etc. are all possible from here. There are various restaurants serving both local and international cuisine and convenience shops to buy anything you may require. Male' City centre is a short 10 minute drive away. Airport: The airport is a 10 minute drive away. Around Hulhumale: Public bus and taxis are both available. However, you can walk anywhere you need. Bicycle renting is also possible. Male': The capital city is only a short 10 minute drive or bus ride away. Since the Maldives is a Muslim country there are 2 additional things to be noted: 1) Bikini's are not allowed in public areas. They are, however, allowed once you leave the island on excursions. 2) No alcohol is available on the main island. There is, however, a very nice open air bar at the airport island 10 minutes away should you wish to enjoy a drink :)
