This area is located in Padang-Padang area, Padang Padang and Uluwatu are two of our landmark beaches in the South Kuta region. Uluwatu is definitely more for the adventurous. It's far west location is ideal for watching sunsets and hunting big waves. This region was made famous by surfers and has appeared in the film Eat, Pray, Love. Padang Padang is a pocket beach between two cliffs and is one of the most popular beaches in this region. It can get crowded, but it is close by the road and has the least number of steps from the cliff to the sand. We love this area for it's raw and unspoiled beauty. The beaches are far more dramatic and cleaner than elsewhere in Bali. The location has beautiful coral reefs, majestic cliffs and a laid-back atmosphere of surfer chic. Whether you're here to surf, enjoy some sun and sand, or just meander through the countryside on a motorbike ride, South Kuta will have something memorable for those looking to escape crowds and connect with the Balinese culture/landscape. Distance to popular destination in Bali: - Legian beach: 1 hours drive - Ngurah Rai International Airport: 40 mins drive - Uluwatu Beach: 6 mins drive - Labuan Sait Beach: 1 mins walk - Uluwatu Temple: 9 mins drive We suggest renting a motorbike to fully enjoy the area and all it's beautiful beaches. Balangan is great but if you're around for 3-4 days, we suggest you can explore the Uluwatu or Padang Padang areas as well. You can also rent a car as well. Taxis out to this area are a bit expensive since there is a monopoly/cartel in transport service to/from our area.
