In a leafy suburb of Brisbane No.2
A large room with queen bed, desk, private ensuite and A/C. In walking distance to shops and public transport (30-50 mins to city centre) our house looks out onto quiet bushland. Sit on the deck watching parrots and other native birds, or go hiking or mountain biking in the near-by Mt Coot-tha forests. All in a big city! Nearby there are shops, supermarkets and restaurants, buses to the city, the university and Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. We can only accept vaccinated or exempt guests. The room is large, with a queen bed, desk, wardrobe and drawers, with its own private ensuite bathroom, and ceiling fan and A/C. There is good wifi. The room will be thoroughly cleaned between guests including carpets, all bedlinen, surfaces, light fittings and remote controls. You have your own bedroom and bathroom. You will share the kitchen, and we provide you a separate fridge to store your food. You also share the living room, sunny courtyard and shady deck with us. You are welcome to use the pool. You may use the washing machine (free) and dryer ($5 - but the clothesline is free). We have a Health Management Plan approved by Queensland Health to ensure your safety and ours. Sanitiser and hand washing materials are always available and we clean the shared areas every day. We are fully vaccinated and only accept guests who are vaccinated or have medical exemption. We welcome guests from all walks of life. We love to hear about your home and your travels, but we understand that sometimes you just want to be quiet and rest. Nearby there are shops, supermarkets and restaurants, and buses to the city, the university and Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary (only 10 minutes away). Lone Pine is open and you can book a visit on line. We are also in walking distance to Mt Coot-tha which is a nature reserve with a network of hiking trails and mountain bike tracks, and a lookout with a cafe. There is safe and free parking on the street. We are 3 minutes walk from the nearest bus stop, with frequent buses to the city. There are regular buses to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary and to University of Queensland. We have a large and friendly dog and a cat - so some pet hair is inevitable, and this is not a good place if you have allergies. On the other hand, if you love patting dogs this is your dream home.
