Your own floor in our lovely Greenwich flat
A gorgeous large double with a king bed, a bathroom to yourself and access to the garden. We're 5 minutes from Blackheath and 10 minutes from Greenwich Park, walk through to find Greenwich museums, pubs, restaurants and the Cutty Sark, as well as easy transport into Canary Wharf, the City and central London. We've been here since 2018 but the house is old - built around 1870. It's three floors and we have the bottom two. The ground floor is where I live with my husband Ian, and has a bedroom, office and open living room/kitchen/dining room. The garden is small but really cute, and it's lovely to sit out there in the summer. We have a 2 year old Siberian cat called Yana, she's totally harmless and will probably come and say hi, and thoroughly inspect your stuff. Of course, feel free to chuck her out any time if you need to. The house has serious personality, partly because of the funky decor we've inherited! Check out your bathroom, it's a veritable tiled paradise. We bought the place because it's different, it was love at first sight, and the proximity to Greenwich and beautiful Blackheath only sealed the deal. The bottom floor is yours, it has a double room with a comfy king bed, doors to the garden and your own Moroccan-esque bathroom. You can use the washing machine and dryer, including detergent and fabric softener. Due to coronavirus, if you use the kitchen we have to ask that you clean it thoroughly afterwards, and we will of course do the same. Your space is yours, and you're free to relax downstairs in peace, or if we're in we're happy to hang out. We both work from home so will likely be in the office at the back of the house during weekdays. We're always happy to direct you to/show you the local pubs and restaurants, and join you if necessary! There's a lot to do in history-packed Greenwich, from the Cutty Sark to the Maritime Museum, to the most incredible pie you'll ever eat at Goddard's. The market is packed with treasures, and the park is the most beautiful in London (in my opinion). The views from The Point at the top of the road (I'll show you where to go) are incredible. If you go the other way into Blackheath you'll find the village, full of boutiques and lovely restaurants, and the heath itself is a lovely walk. If you like pubs you're in luck, we've got some of the best. We're close to the following stations: Greenwich: 12 minute walk, SE Trains to London Bridge and Cannon Street, and DLR through Canary Wharf to Bank Lewisham: 15 minute walk, SE Trains to Charing Cross Deptford Bridge: 10 minute walk, DLR through Canary Wharf to Bank We regularly scrub the house anyway, but are particularly conscious since Covid-19 of door handles, light switches etc. We wipe them down throughout the day and will leave sanitiser throughout if you'd like to do the same. There is also hand sanitiser in the room for your use.
