Traditional "Syrma" Nikos is a newly renovated beach house at Klima Village on Milos island. Klima is a traditional fishing village only 1klm from the village of Trypiti. The settlements' picturesque multicolored two-story houses are called "syrmata" This is a traditional 'Syrma' (boat house) that has been recently renovated. We have done our best to make it as modern and comfortable as possible for our guests, but keep in mind it is an 100 year old house with original doors for example, and certain aspects may not be as updated as some guests may expect. One thing to note is that the plumbing at Klima is 100 years old and therefore does not work as effectively as it should-this is why almost all the houses have separate water pumps to provide adequate pressure and to regulate hot and cold water. these pumps are a bit noisy when the toilet flushes or the water is running, but it is not a continuous noise. If guests desire, we can close the pump however they are advised that water pressure will be low and hot/cold water will fluctuate because nothing will be regulating it i.e. in the mornings the main pipes at Klima get so hot from the sun that the water is extremely hot! Guests do have an option though so just ask us!Also, guests should keep in mind that the Syrma is booked solid from April to October and some things may break down-if this happens PLEASE contact us and we will replace whatever is broken as soon as possible! Klima is very easy to find and only a 10 minute drive from the port. We always recommend you rent transportation as Milos is a big island and Klima has very little public transport (only two buses a day). In any case this is your decision but we highly advise it. When you are at the port you take the road leading up to Plaka, and you will see signs for Klima on the way. It is clearly marked and signposted! When you arrive at Klima parking, leave your vehicle (or taxi) and walk to the beach front. Once you are there, turn RIGHT and go to the very end. The house is the one before last and Flora will be there to greet you! She will also let you know where to leave the keys upon departure. Anna will be available on airbnb and on the mobile listed for any help, questions or advice, and Flora will check in daily for cleaning or if guests require extra sheets, towels etc. Please keep in mind we own a restaurant and July-August are super busy months so Flora may come every second day, and Anna may not reply immediately-but we will always get back to guests as soon as possible!!! Our Syrma is right at the end of the peer, ensuring the utmost quiet and privacy! There is a bus stop at Klima but we advise all guests to rent transport to get around as the bus only comes a few times a day. One thing to note is that the plumbing at Klima is 100 years old and therefore does not work as effectively as it should-this is why almost all the houses have separate water pumps to provide adequate pressure and to regulate hot and cold water. these pumps are noisy when operating e.g when the toilet flushes or the water is running, but it is not a continuous noise. No refunds/changes will be made to any reservations affected by change in sea or plane schedules for whatever reason, whether it is because of the weather or any other force majeure; this also includes ferry / air traffic control strikes which occur occasionally during the summer and always on labour day - it is guests' responsibility to opt for transportation to/from Milos that is least likely to have such issues (Highspeed vessels are often cancelled/diverted/delayed due to strong winds and some flights are grounded if deemed necessary for safety reasons).
