A Secret Garden on Jackson: Violet Room

A Secret Garden on Jackson is a beautifully restored Victorian home. As a family-owned and operated B&B, our mission is to bring together family and friends, and share the best of what Lexington has to offer. We are within walking distance of Historic Downtown Lexington, W&L, and VMI, and a short drive away from SVU. We have comfy beds and delicious breakfasts, and accommodate food sensitivities. We hope you feel at home when you stay with us while exploring Lexington and Rockbridge County. Each of our bedrooms includes their own private bathroom. Our rooms are spacious with comfortable beds. There are stairs to get into the house and up to the second floor. The Dogwood Room has south and west facing windows, so it gets plenty of sunshine. We offer complimentary snacks, water, and carbonated beverages upstairs in our hospitality area. There is also a Keurig with assorted hot drink options. Make yourself at home and visit with your friends and family in any one of our multiple common rooms, or on our beautiful wrap-around porch. There is parking in front of and behind the house, so please avoid parking on the street. We love to get to know our guests, but we are happy to give you and your family and friends space to visit with each other. We offer our guests a full sit-down breakfast in the mornings. In the afternoons, we will leave fresh baked cookies in the kitchen for you to snack on. If you have any questions, we will be happy to assist you. Jackson Avenue is a quiet neighborhood, but it is a block away from Downtown Lexington. VMI campus is a 15 minute walk, and W&L campus is a 10 minute walk away. The house is across the street from Godwin’s Row, four picturesque houses designed by the same architect. We offer plenty of on-site parking for guests. Most everything in town is within walking distance, so we highly recommend walking.
