The Summer Room- Historic Tudor Home near 58 & I95

Friendly for travel nurses, ODU, physical therapy students doing their practical experience, Brunswick Power Plant, and other term workers in the area!!! Near I-95 and Downtown Emporia. Lovely Tudor Style House from 1934. Great place to enjoy when traveling around. Apart from staying one night, this is a great place for long term rentals!!! This is a unique house, with lots of character. We call it the "Gingerbread House". The model was ordered from a Sears Roebuck Catalog in 1934. We haven't been able to find the catalog but we are still looking for it. Guests can access all common areas of the house: dining room, living room, kitchen, sunroom, and the beautiful deck. The room is located on the second floor of the house, must climb stairs to get to the room. There is a train track near the house that comes several times at night. There is a potential for noise. Washer and dryer are located in the laundry room and are shared with other guests.
