Historic Ollerenshaw Cottage is is the perfect hideaway for two. It is also one of our dog-friendly cottages. Formerly a cattle shed, Ollerenshaw has been lovingly restored and today is a beautiful cottage with every amenity. Downstairs you'll find the living area with fully stocked kitchen, a comfy leather sofa and dining table to two. Underfloor heating will ensure you remain toasty in all weathers. Upstairs there is a double bedroom with a contemporary bathroom with over bath shower next door. A private patio is just outside your front door. Ollerenshaw is part of Wheeldon Trees Cottages, is a stunning retreat of 10 luxury cottages set in one of Derbyshire's most breathtaking valleys. The newest addition to the retreat is The Farmhouse, which has been totally refurbished in 2021. Close to Buxton and Bakewell in the Peak District National Park, Ollerenshaw Cottage promises a relaxing stay which will stay with you forever. There's an honesty shop packed with treats, super fast wifi, free electric vehicle charging, a children's play area, a laundry, free electric bike hire and acres of land to enjoy. Wheeldon Trees Cottages is located in one of Derbyshire's most stunning valleys, nestled under High Wheeldon. Breathtaking, with space to breathe, we guarantee vistas with every visit, along with an honesty shop, general store containing anything you may or may not have forgotten, White Company toiletries, the highest of thread counts and the fluffiest towels, EV charging , our own roasted High Wheeldon Rising fresh coffee, super-fast zooming and delicious food and drink deliveries straight to your cottage from our partnership with Sauced Here. Our guests can roam throughout our 12 acres of Peak District National Park, making friends with cows and sheep (or the local pub). If you love walking, you can bag a trig by climbing to the top of High Wheeldon directly from your cottage front door. Guests have access to the entire retreat, including children's play area and also have free use of our electric bikes to explore neighbouring villages. Our laundry room is free for you to use and there are lots of toys and games in our Long Room which you can borrow. We're just a call away if you need us or we are hidden in the background if you want to get away from it all. We don't live onsite, but you'll often find us gardening or working on projects within the retreat. Our gorgeous Wheeldon Trees retreat is located in one of Derbyshire's most breathtaking valleys, nestled under High Wheeldon in Earl Sterndale, which is close to both Buxton and Bakewell. If you love walking and hiking, you will be in paradise. In Buxton you'll find the brand new five star Crescent spa for pampering days out and it's also home to the Buxton Festival each year in July. In historic Bakewell, pudding shops abound, alongside stunning cosy cottages. The Peak District National Park offers village after village of charming cottages, historic country pubs and things to do and explore. We have plenty of parking at the retreat, including disabled spots for those less mobile. We offer guests free EV charging if you drive electric, and a local bus passes the retreat each day. We have electric bikes which every guest is free to borrow at any time, but if you really want to explore the local area you'll need a car. Buxton, our nearest town has a railway station and there are taxis outside if you are travelling to us by public transport.
