Have a holiday in the village of Luss in a unique listed cottage on the banks of Loch Lomond. Luss village has its own pier with boat trips, Loch Lomond Faerie Trail, a beach and hiking, walking and cycling paths. The village, dating from the 18th century, became the setting for the successful TV soap Take the High Road. It is ideally located for exploring Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. Inside, the cottage is decorated in a contemporary manner, with wood-burning stove, wooden flooring throughout and a newly fitted bathroom. Coorie in front of the fire, watch box sets on the smart TV after a day of hiking in the breathtaking Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. In warmer months there's a secluded seating area outdoors in the enclosed, mature garden. Guests have the cottage to themselves. Every morning a breakfast basket will be delivered with a continental breakfast and the kitchen is very well equipped including a Nespresso machine and dish washer. I live next door so I'm on hand for anything you need. I deliver a continental breakfast to your door every morning, and having lived in the village for over 25 years have extensive local knowledge. A popular destination with walkers and cyclists, the area boasts a magnificent diversity of scenery with loch-side beaches, dramatic peaks, waterfalls, hidden caves and mysterious, forest covered slopes within walking distance of the property, with the West Highland Way and Ben Lomond only a short distance away. The village has direct access to the 17-mile long West Loch Lomond cycle path, as well as a range of local walks from flat and gentle to challenging mountain hikes. A big attraction for families is the Loch Lomond Faerie Trail which snakes from the village across to the old slate quarry and through the woods. Across the Loch is the village of Balmaha with its marina, it is perfect for a day out for all the family, by road or directly from the village pier by water bus. Cruises and speed boat hire are also available from the pier, and leisurely trips along the water allow for a relaxing way to take in the scenery and unspoiled surrounding islands. The village, within 5 minutes walking distance, offers seasonal Scottish fine dining at its two hotels, and relaxed dining at two bistros, a coffee shop and the local smokehouse. Other villages nearby include Arrochar and Balloch. There are two five star golf and spa resorts 20 minutes from the property where visitors can enjoy a range of fine dining, including a Michelin star restaurant, day spa packages and championship level golf courses, as well as a trip in a resident seaplane. Loch Lomond Shores, again a short distance from the property, offers designer shopping, restaurants, local farmers markets, loch cruises, water sports including kayaking and jet skiing, and a sea life aquarium. The cities of Glasgow, Edinburgh and Stirling are easily accessible by car and boast award winning restaurants, theatres, galleries, concert venues and designer shopping, as well as many tourist attractions
