Our house is directly across the road from the western entrance of the Callaghan Campus of the University of Newcastle. The campus offers access to several food outlets, bar, pharmacy, post office and large gym with a swimming pool. Bus stops in both directions are within about 100 metres. Several buses run through the area, including: Route 11 - from Newcastle City to Westfield Charlestown Route 24 - from Carrington and Newcastle West to Wallsend. Bus routes run via Jesmond Shopping Centre, a 15 minute walk West. UON Students/staff can catch the University's free shuttle to NewSpace in City Campus, the nearest stop is a 5 minute walk away. Driving access to this end of University Drive is through Sunset Boulevard, via Canara Place. Basic continental breakfast goods are supplied within the price of the room.
