Hosts home has lovely views of river mouth, ocean, mountain and ranges, guests are welcome to enjoy views and watch sunsets from house main deck. Host has many years experience surfing the local waves. Can be available to guide to local surf spots by arrangement (surfboards available). Golf can be arranged ( local course 3 minutes away and many quality golf courses within 30 minutes,Golf clubs and trundler available) . Oakura is a small seaside village with all amenities including arts and craft trail. Pub, restaurant, cafes, Doctor, Chemist, restaurants, BP station and 4 square. Surf shop with surfboards, wet-suits and great coffee. Guest need their own transport as there is only 1 morning/afternoon bus to and from New Plymouth. Oakura village and ocean within walking distance without having to cross main highway. Mountain, National Park, Pouakai Crossing and Pukeiti gardens, world class surf breaks, skiing all within 30 minutes drive.
