Good location for sightseeing in Switzerland. By car only 30 minutes to Bern or to the Bernese Oberland. 1 hour to Interlaken (starting point for Jungfraujoch - Top of Europe). 1 1/2 hours to Lucerne, 2 hours to Engelberg (with Mt. Titlis). Not accessible by public transportation. Beautifully located apartment in the ground floor of a 170 year old farmhouse with active agriculture at 880 meter above sea level with enough space for up to 8 people, living space 80 m2. The large living room with a fireplace to sit on creates a cozy atmosphere. The stove is still in operation and we will is lit the fire for you on request. 1 bedroom with 4 beds (double bed and bunk bed). In the living room are 4 beds (bunk bed and sofa bed). It also has a cot for infants. Children under 2 years are free. For people with handicap we will adjust everything so that there are no steps left. Please tell us if it is necessary for your stay with us and we will make everything ready for you. Location: To access from “Zäziwil” follow the main road up to the roundabout. Take the 1st exit to “Oberthal” (white sign). Follow the road up through the forest until reaching a crossing near the restaurant “Eintracht”. At the crossing turn right sharply and follow the steep and curvy road. Pass carefully the school on the left and watch out for the sign with the fox and bunny on it on the right. Turn right into the small road through the forest (please be careful as the road is narrow and the visibility around the curves is limited). After leaving the forest there is a sharp right turn. Then the road is slightly sloping leading around the back of our house. On the right there is a parking space for you marked with “Gäste”. Welcome to Steffisberg-Hüsi 105 A patio with a barbecue and a playground may be used unlimited. Free parking is available on site. Most of the time we are around. We are happy to help our guests. Oberthal is an agricultural community, hilly and green. The distance of the farmhouse to the next house is about two hundred meters. The area is ideal for hiking and biking. We as owners live on the 1st floor and a family lives on the 2nd floor with 2 children. Very good location for excursions in Switzerland. Pets are not permitted. Smoking indoors is not permitted but there is a covered smoking area outside. Please note: Hot water (95°C) is limited to 200 liters per day. Please save water and respect your environment. You will be rewarded by having warm water throughout the whole stay. Steam bathing and steam showering is not permitted as it leads to lasting damages in the facility. (There will always be plenty of cold water at your disposal. The limitation applies to hot water exclusively.) For ecological reasons, please don’t leave the windows and doors open for more than 15 minutes during the heating period. We care for our environment! Also, please make sure to turn off the heating plates after usage and keep candles and flames away from any material that could catch fire. Check-in is after 3 pm. Check-out is until 10 am, dishes clean in cupboard. Please keep the peace at night from 10 pm to 7 am.
