Visit England had awarded it a Gold award with four stars. All on one level the property comprises entrance hall, large spacious lounge/diner, sun room opening onto the private garden, large bedroom with super king bed and beautiful sleigh furniture also opening onto the garden, a bespoke bathroom and shower with body jets decorated with beautiful Italian tiles and a fully fitted kitchen with integrated appliances and granite work surfaces. The entire house benefits from underfloor central heating. Furnished to a high standard with leather Chesterfield furniture and chaise longues it is an ideal place for that romantic getaway or simply to relax and enjoy the peace of the countryside. Guests enjoy the entire house and garden. All towels and bathrobes are provided to save on luggage. A generous welcome pack is provided including fresh coffee, tea, sugar, milk, fresh orange juice, eggs, bread, stock cubes etc. Arrival is from 4pm with a departure time of 11am. Entrance to the property is via the front door with a key pad to the left and the code will be provided. Whilst your privacy is important to us should you need any assistance there are contact numbers provided in the welcome folder and for the greater part of the year the owner is at home in the cottage next door for advice and guidance. As an owner I am a super host and all my reviews on Trip Advisor are 5 star. The village of High Bentham lies on the River Wenning and is ideally located between the Yorkshire Dales, the Forest of Bowland, with the Lake district within easy reach. The Yorkshire Three Peaks (Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen-Y-Ghent are close by, as is the popular village of Ingleton (4 miles away) with its beautiful caves and waterfalls making this a haven for lovers of the outdoors. Be sure to visit the local land mark 'The Big Stone of Four Stones' to see breath-taking views over the countryside or take a riverside walk to the neighbouring village of Low Bentham. The village has all the amenities you could need for a self-catering break and on Wednesdays there is a regular auction of livestock which can be fun. Wednesday also sees the arrival of fresh vegetable stores, fresh fish and an excellent butcher with locally sourced meat and eggs. The towns of Kirkby Lonsdale and Settle are a short drive away. The property is four minutes walk from the local railway station (Morecambe to Leeds line) and you can also connect with the beautiful Settle to Carlisle line. The are also local buses from the main street in High Bentham. There is a tourist information bureau in the Town Hall on Station Road and a Bureau De Change in the Post Office on Main street. The property has a smart TV and free WIFI. For ecological reasons the wood burning stove has been replaced with a high end cast iron electric stove. Operation instructions can be found in the file.
