Character gite in the countryside

Parsley Cottage is perfect for a young family. It has an open plan bedroom/bathroom with a double bed, plenty of room for a cot or put up bed for a child only and a feature slipper bath. Downstairs is a fully fitted kitchen and sitting room overlooking the garden. This cottage is only suitable for 2 adults and 1 child/baby, not 3 adults. Please note - discount on nightly rate for bookings for a week or more. Towels are not included. There is wifi on the property but NOT in the gite. A stylish 1 bedroom cottage with a wealth of old oak beams and many original features. A beautiful double bedroom with wonderful original oak beams, parquet flooring and quality bedding having open plan feature bathroom area with a slipper bath. The bedroom is large enough to accommodate a fold out occasional bed (for children only) or cot. Accessed via spiral staircase. Lounge area with tiled flooring, exposed beams and comfortable stylish furniture with lovely accessories. Kitchen is fully fitted with all the modcons. This cottage sleeps 2 adults and 1 child - not 3 adults. Taxe de sejour: €1.00 per person per night (over 18) paid locally in cash on arrival please. Come and enjoy the peace and quiet. English TV, DVD and CD players. Door leading to south east facing patio area with quality wooden garden furniture and parasol. 2 acres of communal garden and orchard. I live on site. I also do meals on arrival and plat du jours during peak season. Out of peak season, catering is available, but please request on booking and is subject to availability. La Marette is a small hamlet near Caulnes, just 20mins from Dinan. La Marette Gites consists of 4 gites and the main house (which I live in!). We are surrounded by fields and woodland, so a perfect place to explore Brittany but also perfect to sit back, relax and enjoy the peace and quiet with a glass of wine. La Marette is rural and you would require a car. The port of Saint Malo is 45 mins away, Rennes airport or train station are both about 40 mins away and Dinard airport about 30 mins. The local village of Caulnes has all the necessities for your stay: supermarket, bank, post office, petrol station, café and most importantly a boulangérie or two! Price quoted is for 2 people in the gite, and additional €30 per week for the trundle bed. Taxe de sejour: €1.00 per person per night (over 18) paid locally in cash on arrival. Electricity cost - the cottage has an electric meter counter. A reading will be taken on arrival and on departure - you will find that the standard daily allowance of 10kw should be more than enough during the summer months, however should you exceed this (for heating for example), an additional charge of 0.20c per unit will be incurred and needs to be paid in cash prior to departure.
