En Garric, beautiful home near the Black Mountains

Perched in the hills 4km from Puylaurens, En Garric is a haven of tranquility. The gite (or East Wing as we call it - 2nd photo) at En Garric is a wholly independent part of the property, and benefits from expansive 360 degree views of this beautiful part of France. The property has been fully renovated and decorated to a very high standard and is a well functioning home sleeping up to 6 individuals in 3 bedrooms with an 12 x 6M shared outdoor pool and beautiful entertainment areas. This is a very picturesque part of France, and the property is set in the middle of rolling farming fields, 4.5 kms from Puylaurens. The house has been extensively modernized and upgraded, and decorated to a high standard. The house has 3 double bedrooms on the first floor, with 2 bathroom. Downstairs, there is an additional Toilet Downstairs is an open plan dining/kitchen/living area ( see photos ). The kitchen has a gas powered stove, 1 electric oven, microwave, large fridge, toaster, and blender. The indoor dining table has room for 8, and 10 at a squeeze. Please note - the house does not have air conditioning. Each room however has a large fan. Although things can get warm in the summer, we have never found it to be uncomfortable, however, you do need to consider this. Outside the gite, there is a lovely patio with a large square dining table which sits 9. There is also a stone garage with a dining table with seating for up to 10 people. This garage is also a storage place for wood, and a beautiful space to use when there is the occasional day of rain or the sun feels too hot. A large pergola next to the pool also provides shade and is an outdoor dining area with seating for up to 10 people - this area is shared with the main house. There is also casual seating under the pergola. An outdoor barbecue is available, however, any bbq'ing needs to be done with exceptional care, as any embers which escape are a fire hazard in this dry climate. We recommend you keep the bbq on the gravel surfaces and have a watering can with water standing near by in case of any issue, and to water down the coals when you have finished. There is a large garden with a variety of decorative and fruit trees, and a vegetable garden which you are welcome to use. The house also has an 12x6M pool. Please note the pool is 2.0M deep at the far end, as such, please ensure that should you bring children, you are watching them at all times. Use of the pool by children and young adults is entirely at your risk. You will have access to the entire garden and pool area. My partner and I travel extensively, however, during the summer months, we will be at the main house on occasion, and you may therefore be sharing the pool and pergola area with us. Other things to note: We ask for Saturday to Saturday bookings please... The rear section of the property - not the front - which is fully independent with no connecting access between the owner's part of the property and this rentable area. You will have access to the entire garden and pool area. My partner and I travel extensively, however, during the summer months, we will be at the main house on occasion, and you may therefore be sharing the pool and pergola with us. I will be available at most times on the phone or on email Expansive sunflower fields, Roman walk within 1km of the property, local organic and artisanal markets in Revel and Castres, as well as a local market in Puylaurens on Wednesday mornings. There are lovely cafes and a couple of wonderful local restaurants, and from the town square in Puylaurens, you can see all the way across to the Pyrenees on clear days. The Black Mountains and Lac Ferriol provide great opportunities for walking, running, swimming, sailing and cycling, and on the other side of the mountains you enter the Languedoc vineyards. We recommend you have access to your own transportation while staying at the house to take full advantage of the region.
