Quaint villages such as Beacon, Cold Spring, Fishkill and Wappingers Falls are all close by. The beautiful and majestic Hudson river with its historic mansion's Bannermans Island, West Point, The Culinary Institute, Vassar, and Marist a short drive away(Great spot if your visiting the kids) The famous hiking trails of the Hudson Highland's, Harriman State park, Bear mountain and the Walkway over the Hudson are all close by. New Paltz with Minnewaska/Mohonk offer world class rock climbing and easy hiking, mountain biking and cross x skiing. Dutchess stadium (5 min.). Three micro/nano breweries in the Village of Wappingers Falls 2 miles away. Many wineries, farms and orchards close by also. Kayak put-in right down the road.CoSM (walkable), DIA Beacon,Storm King art center close by. Enjoy the best nature has to offer in this secluded setting (yet so close to everything).
