Laura is the cottage manager and can be contacted via air bnb messenger for any questions you have The cottage is located in a small village called Donhead St Mary, which is a beautiful rural village surrounded by fields and farms. There are many attractions to visit: Wardour castle, gold hill in Shaftesbury, the Jurassic coastline (Lulworth, Tynham), Messums art gallery in Tisbury, Housser and Wirth Art gallery in Bruton and lots of fabulous pubs (The Beckford, The Compasses, The Foresters, The Grosvenor, The lamb, The King John and many others) Getting to the cottage, we recommend either: 1. Driving to the cottage. There is space for one car to park and on request we can give you access to park in the courtyard behind the cottage 2. Train and then taxi to the cottage. You can take the train to Tisbury station but you will need to arrange a taxi to pick you up before arriving, as there is no taxi rank. It takes c.15 mins to get from the station to the cottage. Possible taxis companies are: -Taxis Lady (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) Shaftesbury and Gillingham taxis (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) Country Cars (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) Alternatively you can go to Gillingham station where there is normally a taxis rank but it’s not as pretty a station or drive!
