Glamping Forest of Dean, Wye Valley

Rural retreat wild glamping, with all mod cons a stones throw away. Our 5 meter bell tent is fully equipped with a luxurious Victorian double bed, outdoor kitchen, seating area and firepit. Nestled in a shaded paddock above a little wood on our smallholding you can wake to the sound of birdsong and cook alfresco on an open firepit under the stars. A short walk up the paddock and you have all the modern convenience of a private fully fitted modern kitchen, shower room and toilet. A walk through a small orchard and gardens into the sheep paddock and on to your private glamping paddock with outdoor seating, firepit and outdoor kitchen. You will be immersed in nature surrounded by woods and fields, a blissfully tranquil spot. Sole use of fully fitted kitchen and shower room with WC in separate wooden barn. A double Victorian bed and 2 Single beds or cot can be added for children. You will have your privacy if that’s what you choose, equally we would love to share our smallholding experience with you. This might be bee keeping or harvesting your own fruit or veg or a bit of animal husbandry (Friday to Sunday) Our smallholding is set in a rural location off a country lane surrounded by woods and fields, it’s a peaceful spot surrounded by wildlife. You might see deer, or wild boar but most definitely squirrels! There are all manner of birds, including pheasants, buzzards, ravens and goshawks, to little finches, nuthatches and wrens and everything in between. Our own livestock are very friendly and will be inquisitive, you will need to close all gates behind you... A very rural spot on a leafy single track road. Own transport is essential if you wish to explore further afield. A parking space is a short walk from your private glampsite. We are over 700 feet above sea level with lots of lovely hilly rural walks or challenging bike rides with views of the Welsh Mountains, and the Malvern hills. Bring a good pair of walking shoes/boots and a comfy pair of slippers for inside the tent! Local pubs are a good 20 minute walk away cross country or we have a great bar/restaurant at the local campsite about 15 minutes walk along the lane. The nearest shop is in the next village 20 minutes walk and supermarkets are about 4 miles and 6 miles away. We are right on the edge of the Forest of Dean and only a 10 minute drive to the river Wye where you can hire a canoe or enjoy riverside walks. We produce and sell our own eggs. We produce our own honey, apple juice, elderflower cordial, jams and preserves, bread and cakes . You might be interested in a spot of foraging, bee keeping or animal husbandry.
