Self contained getaway set within the village of Churchill surrounded by the Mendip Hills. Enjoy a fully equipped kitchen, shower, Sky TV, high speed internet, access to walks, traditional public houses and mountain bike trails, located just a few minutes’ drive from the vibrant city of Bristol The Barn is open plan living set with a vaulted original timber ceiling. A cute mezzanine floor is accessed by a small staircase to snuggle up under a Velux window to look out over the Mendip Hills and nighttime stars. There is a small outside space to enjoy the Somerset rays and wind down over one of our local thatchers ciders. There are many local activities to be enjoyed close by, the outdoor pursuits centre is a 5min walk away where Skiing, frisbee golf, shooting, tobogganing etc. There are some fantastic walks to be enjoyed over the Mendip Hills including Dolebury Warren and Windmill Hill. The Strawberry Line is within easy reach and offers a beautiful stroll along an old railway line. Once you have built up some thirst and hunger, we have some great traditional public houses with great food and local ales, The Crown is one not to be missed. With Thatchers cider a 15 min walk away the tour is a great way to experience a family run business and find your favourite cider, you can follow this up with a meal in there wonderful restaurant. There is a local village shop a 5 min walk away for essentials.
