Situated in the pretty market town of Tetbury, our modern but cosy 3 bedroom house is set in a quiet cul-de-sac, and only a 10 minute walk from the town centre where you can find a selection of unique shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. Our space has everything you need for a comfortable stay including a Smart TV and broadband. Whether you're visiting friends or family, here on business or looking for a weekend getaway our house is perfect for every occasion. There is a cosy living area and the kitchen diner has a fully fitted modern kitchen with everything you need. The first bedroom has a double bed and there are twin beds in the 2nd bedroom. The 3rd bedroom has a desk and is perfect for guests who need a quiet space to work. This room also has a chair bed if required. The one bathroom has a bath with shower. There is also a dedicated parking space and a south facing private garden. Guests have access to all areas. We live in Tetbury and will be available if needed by phone. Tetbury is a lovely town to enjoy over a weekend or to base yourself to explore the Cotswolds. In the town centre you will find numerous pubs (you will often find us in the Snooty Fox or The Ormonds), independent cafes, vintage shops (including Prince Charles’s Highgrove shop) and not to forgot Tetbury’s plentiful array of Antique Shops. There are a variety of local attractions just a short drive away! Westonbirt Arboretum Just a 10 minute drive from Tetbury, and managed by the Forestry Commission, Westonbirt Arboretum has 17 miles of paths, and over 16,000 types of tree from across the world. The Arboretum is popular with groups, families and individuals due to its spectacular array of autumn colours, live music events and other festivals throughout the year. 10 minutes in the car Bath The ancient Roman City of Bath is only 35 minutes from Tetbury and offers a wealth of things to explore. We recommend using the park and ride where you will find yourself in the city in minutes. There is a great choice of things to do including; The Roman Baths, Jane Austin Centre, Bath Abbey and Fashion Museum. There are an abundance of shops ranging from a modern retail complex to the intriguing alleyways and passages. Cotswold Water Park The Cotswold Water Park contains 147 lakes and provides opportunities for sailing, water skiing, and canoeing. For those who prefer to stay out of the water, there’s walking routes, cycling paths, bird watching and climbing. In the summer, Cotswold Water Park is perfect for Children with the sandy beaches, and adventure playground. 30 mins away Slimbridge Wildlife and Wetlands Trust Slimbridge is set in a beautiful landscape and you can experience wildlife up close. The beautiful pink flamingos are a highlight as are the numerous hides for serious ‘twitchers’. There is a children’s play area, nice food and don’t forget the bird food from the shop. 20 miles. Castle Coombe Visitors have been enjoying the charm of Castle Coombe for over a century and it is as picturesque now as it always has been. The village has hosted many films over the years and most recently had a major role in War Horse. 20 minutes away. Golf: Minchinhampton Golf Club is only 5 miles away and is a host venue for The Open Qualifying Series and features three courses; The two Championship Courses, The Avening Course and The Cherington Course are situated near the village of Avening and The Old Course set upon Minchinhampton Common combine to produce three outstanding and unique tests of golf. Cotswold Edge Golf Club has a quality 18 hole course with stunning views over the Cotswold country side located just up from the beautiful town, Wotton-under-Edge. Cotswold Edge Golf Club offers one of the best golfing experiences in any of the courses in the south-west of England. Tetbury is also well placed for attending events such as Cheltenham Gold Cup week, Festival of British Eventing at Cirencester Park, Badminton Horse Trials, Beaufort Polo, Westonbirt Arboretum summer concerts, world famous Wacky Races and Woolsack Races, Castle Coombe Racing WOMAD and the Tetbury Music Festival. Tetbury is also located close to many wedding venues including Kingscote Barn, Great Tythe Barn and Matara. ROAD transport links are good. Tetbury is easy to access by road. From M5 - junction 11a (Cirencester) or junction 13 (Stroud). From M4 - junction 18 (Tormarton interchange) or junction 17(Chippenham). RAILWAY STATIONS: Kemble (7 miles), Stroud (11 miles), Chippenham (14 miles) AIRPORTS - nearest airport is Bristol - approx. 1 hour drive. Public transport from airport to Tetbury is not easy. Uber costs about £75. An alternative airport is Birmingham approximately 1.5 hours away. GETTING TO BATH Driving - use the Park and Ride at Lansdown as the parking in the city centre is difficult. Rail - take train from Chippenham GETTING TO LONDON Driving - at least 2 hours + extra for traffic Train - Kemble - Paddington - 1 hour 20 mins or Chippenham to Paddington - 1 hour 20 mins National Express coach - to London Victoria Coach Station BUS SERVICES from Tetbury - due to our rural location, there is only a limited bus service.
