SPECTACULAR COASTAL WALKING on your doorstep. Small cottage, with own garden. Surrounded by trees, lawn, sunlight, filled with the sound of birdsong and the sea. 5 mins walk to village - 2 shops, 1 restaurant, 2 cafes. Pleasant 15 minute walk to local small beach. Surfing Porto Covo,Praia de Odeceixe,Vila Nova de Milfontes Day-trip to the hills - Monchique/Silves, Barragem de Santa Clara Please ask for details for smaller children. Cosy double bedroomed with double glassed doors leading outside (the morning sun floods through), mezzanine above the open-plan living/kitchen area (sorry, no oven at the moment), which can be used as 2 separate single beds or put together for a couple. The large bathroom (shower, toilet, sink and washing machine) is flooded with light from 2 big windows looking out onto the garden. From the living area, step out of the double glassed french doors into a simple garden surrounded by trees and bushes, and a large square of lawn. While cooking and washing up, you can look through the large window overlooking the garden. The sky at night is spectacular, with shooting stars in the summer months. You can often hear the sound of the sea when you are in your bed. We have Nightingales in our garden (: - I am a great believer in recycling and using materials which surround me. My home is therefore simple, rustic, and full of things we have created ourselves. A home which compliments its natural surrounding. The cottage and garden is accessed through a private gate, and you can park your car a few metres away from the cottage. The house has a double glassed door as entrance. In the sunny bathroom is a shower and washing machine. Equipped kitchen, (made by my son) is simple and has everything you will need (but no TV or music equipment) During the holiday season I live close by. I am quiet and discreet and will not disturb your privacy. I try to always be available to welcome my guests and show them around. Please feel free to call me at any time, day or night if you need anything. Costa Vicentina is glorious. Unlike the tourist coastal towns, our village is quiet and sleepy. You have all the wild coast all to yourself as you go for your morning walk along the dunes and cliffs. We have a small local beach which takes 15 minutes to reach by foot. The cottage is surrounded by my 6 hectare farm, and there are no immediate neighbours. The local village has two small shops, a Bistro, cafe and a good restaurant. Larger beaches are about 15/20 minutes drive away: Almograve, Vila Nova de Milfontes, Zambujeira do Mar. The Rapid Coach from Lisbon comes through our village. There are also local buses. Taxis can be ordered. The Railway Station is about 45 minutes drive away (Saboa and Funcheira) I believe there is a Car Hire firm in Vila Nova de Milfontes My home is largely built/renovated by my children and I. We have a passion for the simple life, but you will have everything you need. With nature in mind, there is a lot of light in the cottage, and the cottage is warm and welcoming.
