A wonderfully warm and welcome thatched cottage, beautifully furnished and offering 4 double bedrooms including a separate annex. Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, nestled in the picturesque village of Donhead St Andrew and very close to the charming country pub, you will find unparalleled luxury and charm. **Although the cottage sleeps 8, I do not want more than 6 guests staying but please enquire if you wish to book for more or have children in addition to 6 adults** In the main cottage there are 3 double bedrooms (1 king, 1 twin and 1 double), family bathroom with bath and shower. In the annex/studio there is a king bed and shower room. A sitting/dining room with a large inglenook fireplace, plump sofa and armchairs, large screen TV with Sky and Netflix. The dining table seats 8. Modern well equipped kitchen with breakfast table seating 4/5. Please note that whilst there is room to sleep 8 and seat 8 at the dining room table, the kitchen and living areas are cosy and best suited to groups of up to 6 adults. PLEASE NOTE - there are times when the studio is booked separately so please check availability before booking. **Sparrow Cottage is my home so I expect guests to treat it with respect - for this reason I will only take guests who have positive reviews. I will not accept groups of people who wish to party and play loud music as the village is quiet and peaceful. Please let me know if you need any meals prepared in advance or if you require a table reserved in the excellent pub next door This is a haven for walkers and wildlife. From the door you can walk 30 mins to 3 hours, taking in Old Wardour Castle, Fonthill Lake, Win Green and The Wessex Ridgeway. There are an abundance of museums, art galleries, festivals, gardens, markets, pubs and of course the world famous Jurassic Coast is within an hour’s drive. Rushmore Golf Club is great for the keen golfers. It is also set in the most stunning surroundings. Nearest station is Tisbury (4 miles) with regular trains from London Waterloo. There is parking at the property for 2 cars but extra parking can be found within walking distance . Please do not park on the grassed area in front of the green garage as this is not my property. Minimum stay 2 nights Parking for 2 cars.. Please let me know in advance if you are bringing your pet and if you want to bring more than 1 pet, I can normally accommodate it, but not keen to have male or large dogs. Dogs are not allowed upstairs or in the sitting/dining room. The Forester pub is not open Sunday evenings and Mondays (apart from Bank Holidays)
