A lovely room in my apartment in a quiet neighborhood near the historic Sunnyside Garden; it comes w/ a view of LIC/Manhattan skyline. Only a few stops to Midtown NYC (subway line 7, Q60 & Q32 bus stops within a stone's throw; easy access to N [midtown], E [downtown] & G [Brooklyn]). Kitchen & bathroom are shared with host. Available from June 5/2022 for a 3-6-month stay (1-2-month stay possible only when room schedule allows); a non-smoking, no-drinking, no-pet woman would make an ideal guest. A spacious (11x19) corner room w/ Western and Southern exposures. Being on the top floor of an elevator bldg., it is sunny and airy all the time and "positive energy filled," as one of guests put it. Shared bathroom and kitchen look as if they belonged to the room exclusively; exiting the room you have the kitchen to the right and the bathroom to the left, connected by hallway. The room comes with an A/C, queen size bed, night stand, round tea table, secretary desk, a study desk and an Ikea bookcase, chair, red armchair, hope-chest, lamps, plants, shoe rack, CD/DVD combo player, and a good size closet with lots of hangers and a five-drawer lingerie chest, and an additional dresser. The best thing of this room you may love about is waking up the day with the sunrise and watching the sunset later in the dusk through the window. Wooden floor adds a touch. COVID-19 free environment. N.B. Despite the fact that there is no lock on the bedroom door (lock from inside only), it is a very private corner room. -Your welcome kit includes oil/vinegar, salt/pepper, and organic non-fat milk -Guests are provided with toilet paper, Bounty, dish wash, hand wash & swiffer -Closet with sufficient hangers and a 5-drawer lingerie chest inside -Free Wi-Fi internet -Comforter, two sets of bed sheets, pillow case (No towels provided) -Kitchen facility for simple cooking (stove w/o oven, dish rack, toaster, drip and French press coffee machines, microwave, stove [no oven], rice cooker, water filter, dishes, two-door medium size fridge for guest's exclusive use) -Iron, iron board, hair-dryer -Free street-parking Nate Silver called this super safe, clean, quiet, airy, lively, and cosmopolitan up and coming neighborhood a "hidden jewel" of the city. Sunnyside was ranked third in his "Most Livable Neighborhoods in New York: a Quantitative Index of the 50 Most Satisfying Places to Live." Culturally diverse neighborhood; within walking distances are Sunnyside Historic Garden District, Spanish Thalia Theater known for tango performance, Olymptic size swimming pool at La Guardia Community College & YMCA, tennis court, gyms (i.e., NY Sports Club), organic produce stores, farmer's market around the corner, diverse ethnic restaurants and cafes; you can have a Sunday brunch in the garden patio at "Quaint" a la American cuisine on 46th St. and Skillman Ave., Asian Bistro for delicious susi, Ariba Ariba for Mexican food, exquisite cup of coffee and quiche at ambience-filled cafes like Firefly, Brookside Market, and what not (Covid-19 restrictions may apply for entrance to these restaurants). Not too far away are The Socrates Park, and The Noguchi Museum; American Museum of Moving Images, major film studios such as Kaufman Astoria Studio and Silvercup. Easy connection to both JFK and La Guardia Airports, and Manhattan. Within two-minute walk are #7 subway train, Q32 and Q60 -- all go to mid-Manhanttan. Specifically, only six subway stops to Grand Central via #7 subway train, 3 stops to 59th East Lexington Avenue via N & W lines w/ easy transfer from #7 train on the same platform, transferable to E and G train within three to four stops that takes you to the World Trade Center (E) and Brooklyn (G). Contact me before reservation. Kindly include info about yourself, purpose of your stay, check-in and check-out time and date. Thanks. Refundable deposit amount is $300.00, fully refundable minus post-checkout final cleaning fee of $65.00 and any amount compensatory to damage to property if applicable.
