Beautiful First floor appartment with terrace and nice views on the edge of a tiny Pyrenean Village in the Fenouilledes. The house is set in a tranquil, unspoilt wooded valley of the pristine Boucheville Forest, regarded as the most diverse in Europe. It is the perfect base to relax and immerse yourself in the surrounding nature and also from which to explore the area and its numerous sites of historic, geological and archaeological interest... notably the Galamus gorge and the Cathar castles Threeroofs has been carefully rennovated as you will appreciate , with a high emphasis on local stone and wood, making the house at one with its environment, all good for the wellbeing of those who stay here . The interior (50sqm) is open plan, light and spacious, opening onto the terrace (20sqm) with fine views of the forest and down the valley towards the Corbieres. The kitchen contains fridgefreezer, electric cooker, gas hob, microwave, kettle and all other necessary utensils. Dining/livingroom with Godin woodburner and a supply of firewood. The top floor double bedroom has an ensuite wetroom and a small library. The terrace has garden furniture, parasol and BBQ facilities; Authentic Finnish wood-fired sauna ( €20 per session) There are many features including an aqueduct and water cistern with goldfish. Free unlimited wifi. There is a fresh aromatic herb garden which guests are welcome to use. The Gite and the terrace is accessed via a stone stairway. Owner will welcome you and hand over the keys and is on site and available for help or enquiries. One of the most beautiful and naturally diverse places in Europe in terms of landscapes and wildlife. limited public bus service so own car recommended There is a second appartment on ground floor which may be occupied by other guests. Free firewood. Plenty of kindling available for collection in surroundings.o No dogs please
