Hug by the mountains and gently kissed by lake Como, this is how we like describing our B&B. Situated in a wonderful location (see pics to believe!), we can host up to 4 people. We will make the best of your time here: best view and best breakfast :) ***IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO THE GUESTS: WE ARE A B&B, THE USE OF THE KITCHEN IN THE APARTMENT IS NOT ALLOWED! Thanks for understanding!*** The B&B La Terrazza Sul Lago is an elegant apartment on the 3rd floor of our big house. The apartment has recently been refurbished. Its style is the perfect combination of elegant and rustic. In our B&B you can find: - 2 bedrooms (one bigger and one a bit smaller) - both have double beds and wooden roof. The rooms are very bright and elegantly furnished. - 2 bathrooms - a whirlpool bath is available in one of the two bathrooms. - A spacious living room with two long couches, big round table for breakfast and smaller wooden tea table - A wide wooden balcony with sunbeds and a big round table for you to have breakfast outdoors. The balcony has an amazing view on both the lake and the mountains ! If you book your stay for 1 or 2 people, you will get a double room with private bathroom; the wide living room and balcony may be shared with other guests. If you book your stay for 3 or 4 people, you will get the entire apartment (2 double rooms, 2 bathrooms, exclusive use of both living room and balcony). We would like our B&B to be more than a place where to sleep and have breakfast. We love the idea of interacting with our guests, giving them advice on where to go and what to do to make the most of their time here. We are a sociable family and we like meeting new people from all over the world! However we are not intrusive and we leave guests their space and privacy. We often drive to town, so we are happy to arrange transfers for guests coming without a vehicle. As shown in the map, we are situated in Crebbio, a very small and quiet village outside the urban area. There are no big shops in Crebbio, only houses, fields, farms, a couple of bars and a small local shop. A real paradise for those who are looking for peace and calm! More easily, Nature is the key-word in Crebbio :) There are a few buses arriving here. Guests can reach Crebbio with their own vehicles. Car parking is available at 5 minutes walking from the B&B. However we are happy to pick guests up from the nearest stations (Abbadia Lariana and Mandello del Lario), in case they needed it. Also, we often drive to town, so we can arrange lifts for guests without a vehicle. It takes 10 minutes by car to reach the two nearest villages, Abbadia Lariana and Mandello del Lario. It is also possible to walk to these two villages (approximately half an hour in both the cases). There is no public transport to Abbadia Lariana and a few busses to Mandello del Lario. Abbadia Lariana and Mandello del Lario are perfect for those looking for a relaxing holiday on the lake. There you can find beaches with facilities such as bars, pizzerias and small restaurants. In Abbadia Lariana and Mandello del Lario there are no big shopping centres, but rather small local shops. From both Abbadia Lariana and Mandello del Lario there are also frequent trains reaching picturesque towns and villages on the lake. The most famous are Varenna, Bellagio and Menaggio. From here tourists love taking the boat and have a tour around the lake. The nearest town is Lecco. Although there are no beaches there, Lecco is a nice town where to enjoy walks and a good ice-cream! Lecco is the hometown of a famous writer called Alessandro Manzoni (we are very proud of him!). There are trains and buses to Lecco, leaving from both Abbadia Lariana and Mandello del Lario. From Lecco you can find trains reaching the major touristic cities such as Milan and Bergamo. For the lovers of mountains and hiking, there are paths reaching various locations. There are options for everybody, from easy and short walks (a very good one leading to a gorgeous waterfall) to challenging hikes to the most famous peaks. We will be more than happy to provide our guests with more information once they are here ! Car park is available nearby (less than 5-minute walking distance from our B&B). Wi-fi Internet access is available free of charge. For those interested in a deeper and more adventurous experience, we offer the possibility to access the following sport activities at additional costs: - Horse riding - Guided tours and trekking on the mountains nearby - Skiing and ski mountaineering - Mountain biking - Paraglinder - Sailing boat trips around the lake.
