We are offering a king-size bedroom & a children's room with a single raised cabin bed & the option of an air bed on the floor within our family home, set in generous gardens in rural Bristol. Within our shared home (this is not a separate annex,we live here too)you will have a private bathroom, sitting room with log burner, Wifi & street parking. Conveniently located for Bristol Airport, with easy access into Bristol, Ashton Court, Ashton Gate Stadium, & train links to London, Bath and the SW. You will have access to a lovely, newly renovated private room with king-size bed, and a children's bedroom with a raised, single cabin bed and the option of a single air bed on the floor, both within a warm and comfortable family home (this is not a separate annex and we do live in the property). There is some wardrobe and drawer space for your use. Your private bathroom has a bath, shower, and underfloor heating (in the winter). Your sitting room overlooks the back garden so you can relax in peace, with bi-fold doors to access it when the sun is shining. There is a 55-inch 4K OLED TV (with Netflix, Amazon Prime & Disney Plus available), a Blu-ray player with surround sound, a comfy reclining sofa and a log burning stove. Our home is perfectly situated in the quiet village of Flax Bourton, surrounded by beautiful countryside whilst only about 7 miles on direct transport links to Bristol City Centre. It is close to the M4 & M5, Bristol Airport, Bristol Harbourside, Bristol City Centre, Ashton Gate Stadium, Ashton Court and Clifton village. There is a children's park within walking distance; the local farm shop is just over a mile away and the nearest convenience store is 2 miles away. You are very welcome to share our kitchen & dining room (we have an oven, induction hob and microwave) to make yourself food or tea/coffee. You are also welcome to use the downstairs cloakroom. We have a large garden with various outdoor seating options which you are welcome to explore. You will be given a key to our house so you are free to come and go as you please. We will sometimes be available to meet you when you arrive and leave, but if we are at work we will direct you to the key safe and welcome booklet which explains anything you might need to know before we get home. We are very relaxed hosts. Should you want any advice on exploring the area, information on transport links or suggestions for places to eat or drink we are more than happy to help; alternatively if you wish to be left in peace then no problem - up to you! Flax Bourton has the best of both worlds - it's a quiet village with easy access to the centre of Bristol, but surrounded by woodlands and fields. There are two great pubs within easy walking distance, and two villages just a couple of miles away in each direction. There is a wonderful local farm shop that serves the most incredible farmer's breakfast or Sunday roast, a bakers, a Co-op, a Post Office, and more great pubs and restaurants all about 2 miles away. Should you need bigger shops and amenities then the heart of Bristol is just 10 minutes away by regular, direct buses that stop at the end of our road. Being situated in South Bristol we are well placed if you want to explore some of the local attractions such as the boating lakes at Chew Magna, the caves at Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole, or the Glastonbury Tor. We are fortunate in that we are so close to Bristol airport and yet aren't disturbed by any air traffic! Bristol Temple Meads train station is 20 minutes away by car (with Nailsea station that accesses London and Plymouth just 5 minutes away), and there are regular direct buses that go to Bristol, Ashton Court, and Ashton Gate stadium that stop at the end of our road. We are also very close to the M5 and M4 for travelling by car. There is off-street parking for 4 cars at our home, with plenty of space to park on the road outside. Please note that we have a friendly cat, although she is not allowed in your room (we keep the door shut at all times). We also have a friendly dog who is not allowed upstairs. This is a family home and we have two boys aged 8 and 10. They will not use your private bathroom or sitting room though so you can still get some privacy and peace! There is a small, un-fenced pond in the garden and the climbing frame visible in some of the pictures has been removed for safety reasons.
