Oakridge is a very large, private farmhouse deep in the countryside on a ridge overlooking Whiterock Valley. Deer, coyotes, wild turkeys and grazing cattle are frequently spotted from the house. Ideal for a family reunion or corporate retreat, this house has an official sleeping capacity of 13. A spacious living room and kitchen allow for serving up to 30 people. Five bedrooms total, the main floor bedroom contains a queen and a twin bed. Three bedrooms upstairs are usually configured with two twin beds each. The last upstairs bedroom contains two queen beds and a seating area. There are two full bathrooms in the house (1st floor and 2nd floor) and also an upstairs hallway vanity with sink. Many family reunion groups tuck in extra children in the spacious living room and the ample bedrooms. We only provide linens for the beds we have, if you bring extra beds (air mattresses, cots, etc.) you must provide your own linens for those. Oakridge offers full amenities, including A/C, TV and DVD player, iron and ironing board, family friendly games, and library. The kitchen is fully-equipped and serves up to 30 people. It includes a full-size refrigerator, stove, dining tables, microwave, coffee pot, basic pots and pans, and tableware. This private yard include a bonfire ring, charcoal grill, and picnic tables. The yard is great for family games such as basketball, croquet, and horseshoes. Trails are located out the back door and fishing ponds are within walking distance. The Oakridge RV and horse campground is located nearby. Pets are welcome! Dogs are welcome to be inside if you are with them and keep them off of the furniture. There is plenty of room in the facility for your own dog kennel. There is a nice driveway that will hold up to 10 cars. This house is located on gravel and will be 6 miles off of highway 141. contact the office for assistance if needed. Within the 5,500 acres of Whiterock Conservancy guests can easily access hiking and mountain biking trails, rent a bike, float the nearby river or rent a gator. Check-in: Your reserved accommodation will be ready by 3:00 PM. NO EARLY CHECK-IN's ARE ALLOWED. We have a very informal check in procedure, just go directly to your designated location you have reserved, the door will be unlocked. Pet Policy - Pets are welcome in Oak Ridge Country House, Woodland Carriage House, Log House, Betts Farmhouse and 805 River cabin. Dogs must be kept off the furniture. $10.00 fee per pet. Pet fee envelopes are found in each house for payment. You can leave the envelope when you check out - Housekeeping will pick it up. Absolutely no pets are allowed in the Historic Garst Farmhouse and Hollyhock Cottage. Firewood - no outside firewood is allowed. Each location has a fire ring and a firewood pile for firewood purchase. $5/bundle. There are envelopes in the houses and some firewood piles have a payment box. You can leave the payment in the payment box or the house - housekeeping will pick it up. No fireworks allowed. Smoking - Absolutely No Smoking is allowed inside any Whiterock lodging accommodations. Designated outdoor smoking areas are available and ashtrays are available there for your use. Damages - Guests will be responsible for any damages to or loss of Whiterock Conservancy property.
