Experience the wonder of the season with a relaxing stroll, or a vigorous hike up to Baker's Peak in the Green Mt National Forest. The Covid-19 pandemic may have curtailed a lot of activities but there is still plenty of things to do in beautiful Vermont. There is a mask law so make sure and remember to bring and wear your face coverings whenever out in public. The Hathaway Farm Corn Maze has opened for the season in nearby Rutland Town, as are the apple orchards. The Bromley Thrill Zone opened earlier this summer as well. And of course there is the scenery and Vermont's endless back roads to explore. We are central to 5 different ski areas: Bromley 30 min, 30-35 min to Okemo access road, Stratton & Pico are 45 min, and Killington is about an hour. Not a skier? Explore one of the numerous trails great for snow-shoeing in the Green Mountain National Forest bordering our property! The Coleman Barn is an easy 7 min drive to the Vermont Summer Festival Horse Show in East Dorset Vermont, perfect for those who may need a break from the Show, or to cool off in the idyllic Vermont swimming hole a quick 5 min walk up the road. Feel like shopping? Nearby Manchester is overflowing with famous brand Outlet Stores, and lots of great restaurants too. If you're looking for something different, take a scenic drive to Weston and visit The Vermont Country Store, a step back in time and an experience in itself! Guests have access to entire living portion of rental. We live next door and are usually available unless we are at work. Mount Tabor is a rural town in the southern half of Vermont, nestled at the foothills of The Green Mountain Forest, but only two miles from route 7, one of the states main north-south highways. Ample on site parking ~ We respond to inquiries as soon as we get them, which if we are at work may not be until the afternoon. We aren't ignoring you we just aren't able to check our messages until then. Thanks for your understanding! ~ Rate based on 4 guests - small fee for extra guests ~ Pet and cleaning fee at host discretion ~ Pets MUST be housebroken. NO pee-pads allowed, guests must take pets outside to do their business, and pets must be leashed. Pets must be crated if left alone in rental.
