Bo'a Gardens - Kelapa Bungalow

Located on the beautiful island of Rote, Boa Gardens is a boutique guesthouse created to provide our guests an authentic island experience. Boa Gardens lies between the hills and the ocean, in a quiet and peaceful compound which will be your home during your stay in Rote. At Boa Gardens we have our own restaurant where our guests will be able to enjoy healthy, fresh food and drinks. Built as a traditional Rotenese “kampung”, we integrated local building techniques and western comfort to provide our guests with a comfortable and private base for their island adventures. We have three individually styled bungalows, each one with private bathroom, lounging area and separate sleeping area. All bungalows are open air tropical living, and we can accommodate up to three guests in each one depending on your needs. Nestled under the shade of the coconut grooves on the outskirts of the small sleepy village of Bo’a, Boa Gardens lies between the hills and the ocean, in a quiet and peaceful compound which will be your home during your stay in Rote. Bo’a village is located on the very southeastern tip of the island of Rote, making it a strategical base to visit both the east and south coast of the island. We are a 5 minute walk from the amazing beach of Bo’a, which is also home to a mystical wave which goes by the same name of the village. Rote island with its wide variety of reef breaks allows surfers from all levels to find the best place to catch waves. For the non surfers amongst us, the island won't be disappointing either. Many activities such as snorkeling and island hopping can be directly organised through us. Please visit our Boat page for further details. There are other activities we are happy to help you organise, including island tours, cultural trips, SUP and kayaking. If you're looking for commerce, the main tourist hub of Nembrala is 7km away, roughly a 15min motorbike or car ride away from Boa Gardens. There you will find a variety of shops, restaurants and bars. The easiest way to explore Rote Island with its numerous secret beaches, traditional villages and surf breaks, is still by motorbikes which can be rented through us. The rental prices are around 70 000 IRP per day and can come with or without board racks. If you would prefer to travel by car, we can organise a car with driver which will cost you around 500 000 IRP for the whole day.
