Bwthyn Bach
Bwthyn Bach is a hidden gem. The cottage is in the heart of a traditional welsh village which is mainly made up of quaint cottages. It is a stone's throw from the Clywedog trial and a short walk from the Nantmill Country Park - Fabulous for picnics. The photographs are all taken within walking/jogging distance of the cottage - along the Clywedog Trail and within Plas Power woods. It is only 15 minute drive from historic National Trust Palace,Erddig and a host of other local attractions. Bwthyn Back is a quaint and cosy cottage. Downstairs there is the cosy lounge and a spacious kitchen with stairs up from the lounge to a double and a single bedroom and bathroom (shower over). Bwthyn Bach is situated along an oldy worldy lane of similar types of properties. There is one parking space adjacent to the property but further uphill the road widens slightly to allow for some roadside parking. I will only be available on by telephone or message, unless I am specifically requested or needed. Coedpoeth (welsh for Hot Woodland) is village in east wales. To get to the cottage, from the A483, you will need to come off at junction 4 and turn right onto the A525. Then continue up the hill for about 1 mile and then turn left on to Rhos Berse Road (you will see a stone wall on your left and the turning is in front of it. There is a sign for Nant Mill on the wall). Follow that road, it bends around to the right after about 0.5 mile, continue on that road, keeping to the right on any forks (i.e. do not take the turning down to Nant Mill country park, or go down Heol Penyfelin or Mostyn Road). Eventually, the road becomes Nant Road (just after the turning to Mostyn Road), you should then take the first left onto Heol Horeb, the rear of the house is on the left immediately before the next junction, the parking space is to the right of the back of the house. The parking space is quite small, only really suitable for a small car, my Hyundai i30 fits on it easily but I wouldn’t risk parking anything else there. If you drive a larger vehicle, please park it higher up the road on the right. Part of the attraction of the area is that the house are all perched on the very narrow lanes. Please be courteous on parking and ensure that, wherever you park that garages are not blocked. There is a garage door on the left as you go uphill, if you park opposite it, the lady will not be able to swing her vehicle into it. If you have more than one vehicle, please consider parking in the main car park in the centre of the village. Directions to the main car park – From the house, please continue up hill along Middle Road and take the next main right turn (it is passed the green area on your right) on to Manley Road, at the end of Manley Road, you will see the village car park. I do apologise for any difficulties that you encounter on parking, but trust that you will appreciate that the narrow lanes and higgle-piggle of houses adds to the allure of the area. Whilst there is WIFI at the property, due to the rural nature of the village, you may encounter some difficulties with a mobile phone signal.
