The apartment is located in one of the main streets of Poggiomarino. Just across the street there is a pizzeria where you can enjoy a good pizza for a few euros. There is also a supermarket, a bakery, a cake shop, a pub, a tobacconist, all within walking distance. The town center is only a few minutes’ walk with a large pedestrian area and cycling path, shops, post office, church, bar and more. If you would like to spend a few days’ holiday in Campania, from Poggiomarino you can visit the famous historical and archaeological sites, Pompeii, Herculaneum, go up to the Vesuvius crater and visit Naples and Sorrento. All this while staying in Poggiomarino! The ancient city of Naples is definitely worth a visit if only for its humanity. It overflows with history and much more: museums, the San Carlo theater, the Royal Palace, Capodimonte, Castel Dell’Ovo and the music, the sea, the pizza, the cold coffee. Poggiomarino is 8 km from Pompei and 26 km from Herculaneum and about 30 km from Naples, all accessible by public transport. Two railway lines connect Poggiomarino to Naples, Sorrento and to other nearby villages of the Vesuvius area. The freeway connecting Poggiomarino to the other towns of Vesuvius and to Naples is only 1 km from the apartment. The airport is 30 minutes by car.
