ESCAPE TO SEMAPHORE
This is a bright and spacious. ground floor apartment, with double block-out blinds for privacy & comfort. It is so close to the beach & the many delights of beautiful Semaphore Road. You 'll have everything you need & be within walking distance of many places to eat, drink or play. Get an ice-cream, take a jetty stroll, catch a fish, fly a kite, swim or just relax at the seaside. You may buy your dinner of fish & chips & watch the world go by any time of the day & the sunsets are so special! Usually there is a lovely sea breeze and air-conditioning is available for the extreme weather. All the beds are very comfortable, there is an excellent television, a DVD player and some games provided. The kitchen is quite well equipped (toaster, kettle, etc) and there is a 7-day supermarket a minute away. As soon as you leave the front gate you will see the ocean and only the ice-cream shops may slow you down on your way to the beach. There are many attractions throughout the year from music and kite festivals, mini steam train rides along the foreshore, carnivals, great blues music every Friday and Sunday night at the Semaphore Worker's Club as well as many terrific eateries, cafes and retail shops. There is a numbered car park situated at the rear of the property which must be accessed via Newman Street (One Way) There is limited free parking directly in front of the building. Unit 17 is the second from the front on the Western side and the keys will be in a lock-box next to the front door. The code is changed regularly and will be shared before check-in. Guests may call or email at any time as we live nearby and will always be able to assist guests with their queries. 17/30 Semaphore road is on the ground floor in a block of 30 units and one back from a main road. There are restaurants and hotels with live music sometimes close by and traffic can be busy on balmy evenings as Semaphore Rd leads to the Esplanade. The beach is absolutely beautiful and a short stroll away. The jetty is popular for fishing and you will love the generally laid-back vibe of the locals. There are a.t.m.s, cinemas, supermarkets, chemists, butchers, the RSL, op-shops, a florist, doctors, lawyers and so many eateries that we're sure you won't lack for anything here. Please be warned though, there may be loud music to contend with. The train to the city leaves regularly from the top of Semaphore Rd (about 5 mins walk) There are buses to various locations close by. Semaphore is the perfect destination for a holiday with so many activities to choose from. It's a lively place on sunny days and the locals are quite laid back. Close to the Port river and the sea there are dolphins, sea lions and many fish. The beach is beautiful to walk along or swim and there are public playgrounds, barbecues and even a work-out station. Guests may use anything in the cupboards or fridge, including food, staples, etc.There are clothes lines out the back , a smoking area and large rubbish bins for recycling and land-fill waste Spare blankets, towels and linen are available and you may swap pillows until you're comfortable. Be aware of the potential for noise from the Federal Hotel including bands & patrons, hence the double-glazing! This is not a luxury apartment but we are constantly making improvements.
