Great Beds, Great Breakfast

Your space will be down the hall from the main living area of the house. Private but close enough that if you need something we are nearby to help you. Your space includes 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, separate toilet and a private sitting area where you can watch TV or chill out with a book...there a few available. Breakfast is provided and we are happy to share a conversation over a cup of coffee/tea or a glass of wine. We live in a tree filled neighbourhood, close to shops, bus and major roads. We live in the house but we will keep out of your way in our own part of the house. WIFI is provided. We also offer you the use of the laundry facilities, our music room/library and our garden. We are available to answer your questions about our lovely city and to point you in the right direction if you need some help. There are a number of local shops at the end of the street including a great Fish and chip shop, a small supermarket, a bottle shop (alcohol outlet), a bicycle shop, 2 hairdressers and a doctor's surgery. Just 1 km away there is a more extensive shopping centre with a number of coffee shops and cafes, a large supermarket, a gym and Chinese takeaway. The Daisy Hill Koala Conservation Park is a quick 10 mins drive away where you can see convalescing koalas and hear from rangers about koalas in our local area. Underwood Park just 2 km away is a lovely place to watch the ducks and other water birds that inhabit the billabong and surrounds. We've got you covered. Getting around by car is the optimum way to get around our area but there is a local bus service available in the street behind us. A faster and more frequent service is provided at the bus station located about 3 kms away. This service takes you into the city of Brisbane within 18 -20 mins and is every 10 mins. Getting around Brisbane by public transport is made easy with a GoVia card available at bus stations and newsagents. You can use this for Buses, Trains and Ferries...a great way to see Brisbane City, Southbank and the river is by Ferry (City Cat) especially at night. We have a book of 'The Great Walks of Brisbane' available for those who like to walk and Peter is only to happy to share his knowledge of walking tracks in the Gold Coast Hinterland. We are 40 mins by car to the Gold Coast, 30 mins to the Theme Parks and 90 mins to the Sunshine Coast and Toowoomba to the west is 2 hours drive. All freeways south, north and west are within an easy 5 mins drive. Brisbane Airport is 20 -25 mins drive away.
