Spacious 2 Room apartment attached to main house with private entrance and veranda in beautiful large garden in quiet historic section. Extra length queen size bed, cotton bedding & towels are provided. Living room with sleeper couch for a child or family member plus kitchenette. There is a gas heater ; quiet ceiling fan, mosquito net, safe parking. Situated next to wandelpad (foot path) leading to river and around town. Restaurants and shops within walking distance. Free WiFi The large garden can be enjoyed by guests. Small children must be supervised as there is a pond in the garden. Pets are allowed by prior arrangement. A Weber barbecue is available. Coffee, tea, sugar, milk and homemade rusks are provided on arrival. The property is fenced with remote controlled access. Suite has private veranda looking on to large garden. Guests may use whole garden. We live on the property and are available for information or special needs requests and/or recommendations. Stanford is a heritage village and celebrated 160 years in 2017. Walk through the village to view historical homes and shops. Visit art galleries, antique shops, good coffee shops and restaurants. Several nearby farms produce and sell wine, craft beer and gin. Most have good restaurants. Amble along the foot path next to the river or take a boat trip on the river. Cycling is popular and a group of mountain bikers ride through country roads every Sunday morning. Birding is good with a bird hide next to water. Hiking can be arranged with advance notice. Walk to river, shops and restaurants. Nearest Wine farms and beer brewery 3km from town. The suite has good security with safe parking. Garden maintenance happens on Thursday. Care is taken not to disturb guests but there will be activity. Garbage will be removed after 2 nights stay.
