Set at the edge of the forest in tranquil gardens, The Rock enjoys far reaching 25-mile views across open farmland to the distant Malvern Hills. Maple Lodge offers a well-equipped open plan contemporary styled kitchen/living/sleeping area on the ground floor with separate bath/shower room. Outside is a private balcony with stunning garden and countryside views. Set at the edge of the forest in tranquil gardens and grounds, The Rock enjoys far reaching 25-mile views across open farmland to the distant Malvern Hills. A short stroll through the forest leads to Symonds Yat known as one of the finest viewpoints in southern England which perches over the River Wye below. This area is very popular for cycling, walking, caving, climbing and canoeing in addition to multiple tourist attractions for all ages. The forest is a haven for wildlife and birds with regular sightings of fallow deer, muntjac deer and wild boar with peregrine falcons and goshawks nesting on the cliffs at Symonds Yat. Maple Lodge offers an open plan contemporary styled kitchen/living/sleeping area and bathroom with bath, separate shower cubicle and heated towel rail, all on the ground floor with no steps. The kitchen is well equipped with electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and pans, crockery, and cutlery. There is a 32” Freeview TV in the living area. All bed linen, towels, electricity and Wi-Fi are included. Outside is a private balcony with stunning views across farmland and separate patio area with garden furniture and access to the large grounds. The Rock offers plenty of car and bike parking and electric charge hook up points (at extra cost). The local shop is 2 miles down the road and the closest pub and restaurant is ¾ mile away. There are easy transport links to Gloucester, Birmingham, Bristol and Cardiff. All accommodation and grounds are non-smoking. Owners live in the main house at The Rock. The grounds are large and contain three holiday accomodation units with plenty of space and parking. We are available when needed but will respect our guests privacy At the edge of the small hamlet of Hillersland. Set on the edge of the forest with many, beautiful forest walks just across the road from the property. The peaceful grounds of The Rock adjoin pastureland and enjoy extensive, uninterrupted views over the valley to the village of English Bicknor and the rolling hills beyond. Plenty of parking in the private carpark. Plenty of forest trails literally across the road from The Rock. Possible to walk to nearby towns, local pub, church etc.
