Bright, unique quarryman's cottage.

This traditional, cosy quarryman's cottage has some original features and a vintage style. The back garden is private and a lovely space to relax after a good day out. The cottage is on the edge of Snowdonia in the village of Bethesda with easy access to the mountains. There is a cycle track directly opposite the front door. The famous 'Zip World' attraction is around 1.5 miles from the cottage along the cycle track. There are many pubs and cafes in Bethesda and surrounding area The cottage is a traditional quarryman's cottage so has some low doorways and cosy rooms. The second bedroom is in a crog room with a pitched ceiling so please mind your heads! If you are 6 feet tall you may not be able to stand in the centre. The bed in the crog room can convert from a double to a twin as preferred. We are happy for children to stay but there is no safety gate currently at the top of the stairs so if you are happy to take responsibility for them we are happy for you to book and answer any questions. The cottage has a large TV but there is no freeview or streaming services. We have a bluray/DVD player and some films available. The bluray player also has a usb port so you can watch your own films if you bring a stick. There are HDMI ports in the TV too if you want to plug in a laptop/games console. We are dog friendly but please use the blanket on the sofa if you can't keep your dog off them to keep it clean for future guests. The cottage has a parking space for one car or van off road. It is best to reverse into the space as it will be easier to pull out forwards. You can also park another car across the front of the car space on the pavement but the road can be busy at times and you need to be careful opening doors on the road side. Please don't park across the road as Welsh water need access all the time. There is a local bus service which can take you up the Ogwen valley and beyond, or into Bangor which has a good bus service throughout North Wales. The Lon Las cycle route has access directly opposite the cottage. Please feel free to message or email for any advice or queries. Mid-terraced cottage with friendly neighbours. There is a lovely path opposite the house which takes you into the village which has several take-aways and two convenience stores. There are several little shops and cafes to explore. The cycle track opposite (Lon Las Ogwen) will take you to the city of Bangor to the right through some beautiful landscape, and up through the Ogwen valley to the left passing the famous Zip world attraction. There are many walks from the cottage and if you're adventurous, you can trek into the mountains of Snowdonia or swim in the river Ogwen. The cottage has parking space for one car or van, you should reverse into the space so you can see the road when you pull out. There is a bus service which can take you up the Ogwen valley and beyond, or into Bangor where there are many bus routes around North Wales.
