The Black Flamingo is the perfect high desert getaway to relax in the peace and quiet while reconnecting with friends and family. There are thousands of acres of beautiful hiking trails minutes from the front door. Chef's love the clean well-stocked kitchen. Artistic types love the piano and inspiring surroundings. Everyone loves the new AC, privacy, comfy beds, blackout blinds, breathtaking sunsets, stargazing, giant backyard, large hot tub and hammock. Mid-century modern with a little bit rustic desert-chic, desert-inspired décor is cute and functional to relax the mind without compromising warmth and comfort. The open floor plan of the living space includes dining room, kitchen and large dining room with multiple speakers for watching the game or setting the tone for the evening with music to relax. Sliding glass doors lead out your back to the BBQ grill, propane fire pit and hot tub under the stars. The expansive mountain views from every vantage point create the perfect backdrop to an unforgettable desert getaway. The house is comprised of 2 bedrooms (Both bedrooms have queen mattresses), 2 full baths, and a chic comfortable couch that can easily sleep a kiddo. The house sleeps 5 total. The property situated on a 1.5-acre lot with awesome desert views. The sunsets will leave you breathless. After the sun disappears behind the neighboring mountain, the property falls into shadow while the sky stays a glowing rainbow of fading light. With the low light pollution, it is mandatory to spend a couple hours at night on the patio or in the brand new hot tub looking up at the endless stars and galaxies above. The property is only 20 minutes to Pappy & Harriet’s, 25 minutes to the west entrance of Joshua Tree National Park and five minutes to the Integratron. Best of all, it is just one mile to the High Desert’s favorite restaurant — La Copine (featured in the New York Times, Vogue and Eater LA). There are a few Ubers in town - but not many. Lucy 777 cab is also a great way to use public transportation. Even though the house is on a dirt road, a four-wheel-drive vehicle is not necessary. • Professionally managed by Hi-Desert Dwellings • CLEANING FEE As the top Professional Management Company in the area, we have always maintained exceptional cleaning standards and have been able to keep our rates low while still paying a living wage. 100% of your cleaning fee is paid to the cleaners (i.e. no profit to us) and we insist on a professional level of cleaning between guests. Please note that the cleaning fee is two fees, the cleaning fee and the linen fee. The linen fee is actually an insurance fee but Airbnb makes us list it as “linen” that fee covers any accidental guest damage to the property as well as any guest injuries. More information about the added damage and liability insurance fee can be found in the house rules. • ROADS The property has about 5 blocks of dirt road to get to the property • A/C & Heater The Black Flamingo is cooled and heated by mini splits in each room to keep you comfortable all year long. • FIRE Due to the location and a current fire ban there is a strict no outside wood burning fire policy (the propane fire pit and grill at this property are okay to use). If it is discovered that you have started an outside fire, in a fire pit, using fireworks or other open fire means your rental agreement will be terminated and you will be asked to leave. • HOT TUB - legal Guest agrees to release, indemnify, hold harmless and forever discharge Host and Host's employees, agents, successors and assigns from any and all claims, liabilities or causes of action of any kind that guest, members of guest's household or guest's guests or invitees may have at any time against Host or Host's agents resulting from guest's use of the pool and spa. • GUESTS You are not permitted to have any guests on the property beyond those included in your rental agreement unless you request and receive permission from us. That includes day guests and over night guests. By renting this property, guest acknowledges that they have read, understand and accept the terms listed above for use of the pool, spa and guest policy.
