No 2 The Old Brewhouse, Dittisham, Devon

A cosy, grade II listed cottage, located in the beautiful riverside village of Dittisham, South Hams, Devon. The cottage adjoins the historic quayside on the river Dart . The village has two public houses, a fish restaurant and a well-stocked shop/post office. The cottage has two double and one single bedrooms. The kitchen is fitted with washer/dryer, fridge, oven and dishwasher. There is internet access and a wood-burner for chilly evenings and outside shower (for wet suits and muddy paws!). We do accept up to 2 dogs and Dittisham is a family friendly place - we welcome babies and toddlers! There are two car parks in the village at the ‘Ham’ or on the ‘Levels’. The area offers a wealth of activities for all ages: the river is perfect for sailing, canoeing, kayaking and paddle boarding all of which can be hired from the quayside. The surfing beach at Bantham is only about 20 minutes away. For the little ones, there is crabbing from the pontoon on the quayside, a playground on the Ham and Woodlands Family Theme Park is only 4 miles away. Paignton Zoo is about 40 minutes across the river . We recommend a trip on the steam railway from Dartmouth which runs along the Dart valley. There are beautiful local walks and a regular boat service from Dittisham quay to the port of Dartmouth which is 6 miles away. Dartmouth is a stunning coastal port with riverside promenade , historic castle and good eateries. Guests who would like to book less than the minimum stay (with the exception of July and August) are welcome to inquire, but there may be an additional fee for cleaning.
