The Roosting Place

Enjoy the comforts of home while visiting charming Wilmore! We are located on a quiet street within walking distance to Asbury University and Asbury Seminary. Our guest suite is located in the daylight basement of our family home and can accommodate up to 4 guests. We are a 20-minute drive from Blue Grass Airport and Keeneland. Only 15 minutes from Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill. The Roosting Place is a family-friendly guest suite in the daylight basement of our house and has everything you need to make it your home away from home. The apartment serves as a spacious retreat for 1-2 and can also comfortably accommodate up to 4 guests with use of the futon. In addition to all your basic kitchen amenities, we've also included complimentary eggs, coffee, tea, and spices. Staying in for the night? Enjoy playing board games, the Wii, or watching Netflix. Guests are welcome to spend time in our fenced-in backyard. Kids will enjoy playing on the swingset and visiting the chickens. The grill, firepit, and pool (June-August) are also available for guests to use. A safety fence is installed around the pool to protect little ones while playing in the backyard. We're happy to welcome you upon arrival and serve you during your stay as needed. You may see us from time to time in the backyard. If you encounter our small dog Scout in the backyard she'll bark, but don't be afraid--she won't bite. Let her get to know you by crouching down and offering your hand for her to sniff. If you'd like your dog to stay with you, we charge an additional $25 fee for stays up to a week long. For stays longer than a week, the fee increases to $50. We will send you a money request through Airbnb after you book. We ask that you kennel your dog if you need to leave your dog alone in the guest suite.
