Imagine sitting out on the balcony at night listening to the soothing sound of the ocean interspersed with the songs of native birds while admiring the stunning night sky speckled with numerous stars. There is no traffic passing by and a little bush path leads from the house to the beach (2-3 minutes). Time your trip well and you may be fortunate enough to see the whales frolicking from the comfort of the upstairs deck! Head south along the beaches and witness a dazzling display of a variety of distinctive rock formations and rocky outcrops opening up to some of the most beautiful untouched beaches of the South Coast! Meanwhile, by car you are less than 10 minutes away from Narooma (north) and Tilba Tilba (south) with Bermagui not much further on. Completely renovated and light filled 4 bedroom house. There is plenty of crockery, utensils, glassware, stainless steel cutlery, mixing bowls, platters, baking dishes, saucepans, detergents, and some pantry items. (2) King bedroom - adjoins front verandah overlooking spotted gum forest. Modern bathroom upstairs with big bath, separate shower, toilet and basin. Downstairs bedrooms: (3) Queen bedroom overlooking front garden reached through twin bedroom (4) Twin room with two single beds with door to rear garden deck, has own TV with DVD player, lots of kids videos, games, and books. Downstairs bathroom with shower, toilet, basin, toilet paper and soap. Also another garden shower outside. ****Please remember to bring your own linen (sheets, pillow slips and towels).**** We provide flexible quality bedding with mattress toppers for your comfort: pillows, blankets, and quilts. Parking: There is plenty of room for parking boats and trailers. Washing: Large new front loader and separate dryer and double washtubs. There is unlimited wifi with new TV so you can watch your favourite Netflix series. Please note, this home is for maximum of two families/couples. Groups will not be permitted. Guest access Information will be sent at time of booking. Bond: A fully refundable bond of $500 will be required upon booking. Dogs: Backyard is fully fenced. There is also a gate at the top of the upstairs deck if you want to limit your dog (or toddlers) to being just on the upstairs deck. Dogs are welcome only if they are well behaved, and fully toilet-trained with no excessive barking to disturb the neighbourhood. Mystery Bay beach is dog friendly however please bear in mind the property is almost adjacent to National Park, where there are many kangaroos, wallabies and other small native animals. Dogs must be kept on the property and properly restrained. Please remember to bring bags with you when going to the beach or for a walk elsewhere as all dog faeces must be collected. Likewise please ensure you clear all dog faeces from the yard prior to leaving. Dogs are welcome inside but should be kept off beds and furniture. Also Mystery Bay has a high level of ticks present. It is essential your dog is protected against ticks prior to arriving at Mystery Bay. There is no interaction with the guests except by email and phone. The guests have complete freedom of the house and gardens. Mystery Bay beach is a pristine and beautiful area on the Far South Coast of NSW, ideal for snorkelling, kayaking, swimming, bushwalking and relaxing in the Eurobodalla National Park. There are no shops however 10 minutes down the road at Narooma there are restaurants, cafes and a brand new large Woolworths. There are gorgeous walks to nearby beaches. The National Trust village of Tilba is just 10 minutes south and they have a Farmers Market on Saturday mornings with lovely fresh vegetables, cakes and breads. There is also a general store, bakery and a historic village to explore. Also 20 minutes south is the charming fishing village of Bermagui. You will see lots of native birds and possibly an echidna or wallaby in the front garden. The best reason to visit this region though is the absolute peace and quiet. There is no public transport. There are bus connections to Narooma from Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra. You can fly into Moruya or Merimbula and hire a vehicle. It is 5 hours drive south of Sydney and 2 and a half hours drive south of Canberra.
