Salt Cottage in hotel grounds, Nr Peak, Derbys'

The cottage is set over 3 stories and is over 250 years old. It sits in the grounds of Horsley Lodge Golf Club and you can share in whatever we have available. There is a bar & restaurant and coffee shop 50 metres away. A home-cooked breakfast is available from here for £7.00 full English pp. The village of Horsley is half a mile away and you can go on walks with views Formerly the owners house, comes complete with roll top bath and sauna. Free Car parking On entering the Cottage you'll find a ground floor lounge and dining room which has a little kitchen with fridge and microwave and toaster, a small hob but no cooker or dishwasher. This cottage is a honeymoon suite for our wedding business, but if you book it , it'll be a perfect getaway for a couple or family visiting Derbyshire. It has all the extras you would expect from a 4 star hotel suite like espresso coffee machine, hairdryer, iron and board etc. Patio doors lead you to your private decked area with outdoor chairs and table. Up the original stone stairs is another TV lounge area with the master bedroom off with its beautiful cast iron original roll top bath. On this floor is a bathroom with an amazing sauna and walk in shower. The main bedroom is massive with stone walls and oak beams, it has a juliette balcony with outstanding views of the countryside beyond, a super kingsize massive bed with feature chandelier, headboard and besboke fabrics. Go further up, to find the 2nd bedroom with two twin beds and again lovely views over the golf course. This room is ideal for extra guests, children over 4 as it’s not very toddler friendly with steep stairs. This cottage has two outdoor patio areas front and rear. If you want to play golf please contact me directly and I can sort it out. We do ask that you have a good knowledge of the game. Guests will have the whole 3 floors of the barn to themselves along with a car park space or 2, and a private terrace both front and rear. If no one is booked next door, you can also go on their lawn. 50 feet away is a bar and restaurant which, as a "members club" you will have access to as temporary members for as long as you are staying. Parking is right outside, you will need a car as roads are narrow and buses don't come very near. However many walks can be found in the vicinity. There is a number to call 24 hours a day even when the hotel reception is closed. We won’t disturb your stay and unless you request it, will not send housekeepers to service the cottage during your stay with us as we do for hotel long stays. However just ask if you need more towels etc Horsley is in a beautiful Derbyshire valley, a mere 20 minutes from the Peak District. Nearby are pretty villages with cafes and delis. Plenty of walks from the door of the cottage as it sits on a footpath. We are very close to both countryside and urban areas . If you want shopping or nightlife there are the cities of Nottingham and Derby within 10 miles and 5 miles respectively. Also for convenience are 5 market towns: Belper , Ripley, Alfreton, Heanor and Ilkeston. Belper is the prettiest and most historic but they all have petrol stations, supermarkets and restaurants and pubs. There is no bus route near , but by car you have easy access to the Peak District, Alton Towers, Derby and Nottingham. We are 20 minutes from the M1 motorway Junction 25 or 28 There may be guests in an adjoining room which is separated by a door out of the ground floor lounge.
