Beautiful riverfront options with gardens & swimming pool The Domaine des Monge consists of an elegant 18th Century Manor House typical of the Gironde region that has been passionately renovated over the past years. Located on the first floor of the Manor are three beautiful bedrooms - 'Cholot', 'Madeleine' & 'Eugenie' - available for B&B rental - each room has a private bathroom/toilet - we provide bed linen, towels & bathroom amenities. 'Cholot' from €70 per night inclusive in the low season - Low Season: January 8 - April 6; October 1 - December 21 - Mid-Season: April 7 - June 30; September 1 - 30; December 22 - January 5 - High Season: July 1 - August 31 All prices include breakfast, service & tax 'Cholot': Low €70 / Mid €80 / High €90 This 20 sq metre room with it’s 12 sq metre bathroom has a view over the park and the large feature pool. Louise has a more contemporary style featuring subdued colours and a major photographic art work. Access to the large Roman style marble bathroom is just over the passage and features an alcove bath and separate shower Breakfast and dinners (on request) can be served in our formal dining room or on a garden terrace One can relax in a charming cosy living room where an open fire will warm you on the cooler evenings An extensive pool is exclusively reserved for our guests – including pool-house, barbecue/dining area Activities The region surrounding our Domaine offers a large range of options for the enjoyment of our guests At the top of the list would has to be Oenotouism (wine tourism). For our wine enthusiasts Saint Emilion, Pomerol, Côte de Castillon, Bergerac et Montravel are the closest geographic wine classifications surrounding the property. The remaining important classifications, including the famous Medoc wines, are not far either For those who prefer history , the region provides a huge range of options from the famous prehistoric site of Lascaux in nearby Perigord Noir to the more recent historic chateaux of the area We live on the property. Closest town Sainte Foy La Grande with its Saturday market The magnificent Chateaux of Montbazillac, Duras, Bridoire are the closest and are all situated within a 45 minute drive If you prefer the beauty of medieval architecture the fortified villages Issigeac, Eymet are close and also the larger towns of Ste Foy la Grande and Bergerac with there wonderful local markets.Our golfers will be thrilled to find two world class courses nearby : Les Vigiers golf course and that of St Emilion.
