Murray's Haven - a little spot of tranquillity!
This is a well maintained home, traditionally furnished whilst being well-equipped with modern conveniences. There is a private garden with fish pond - a sun trap in summer. The house is located in the town centre close to all amenities including the railway station and ferry terminal. I would like to re-assure my guests that every care has been taken to provide a safe, clean, environment. Surfaces have been sanitized and relevant products are supplied for guests personal use. This house although located in the centre of town is private with calming qualities. It is a compact house with everything to hand. When the town is busy and you want some quiet time or when the wind is howling and it is pouring with rain it is the perfect place to be! In the height of summer the garden is a little oasis of peace and perfect for lunch/breakfast al fresco. Guests shall have access to a charcoal barbecue during the summer months. The house has a private entrance and private garden. Guests have full usage of these areas. There is a small cottage at rear of garden which is not accessible at the present moment. In a perfect world I like to meet and welcome my guests...however in the Covid world we find ourselves in at the moment...this is not recommended. I am fortunate to have two doors of entry/exit within 3 metres distance of each other...separated by a gate. Therefore, on day of entry, guests can enter the main front door while I depart from second door, leaving the key on coatstand in hallway. On day of departure guests only need to deposit key through letterbox after locking the door. Largs can be a very busy town at the height of the summer season. It is a popular destination for many people due to its location being on the coast. There are many areas to visit around this area, using Largs as a base. It is unique in the sense that it is a coastal town with wonderful views across to the Isle of Cumbrae, the Isle of Bute and on up the coast to Dunoon and Gourock whilst at the same being within a few miles of beautiful countryside. This house is a 2 minute walk to the railway station with regular trains travelling to Glasgow and Ayr. Glasgow airport is achievable by train, alighting at the town of Paisley and taking a taxi to the airport which is a very short distance....and vice versa. Prestwick International Airport is also achievable by train from Largs, by taking the train for Ayr and alighting directly at the airport. The local taxi rank is a two minute walk from the house. There is a regular bus service to Glasgow, Greenock, and Ayr. The ferry terminal is a five minute walk from the house. On street parking is normally available, or alternatively, at the nearby railway station. Largs being very popular can sometimes be quite difficult with regard to parking but there are many streets close by where parking is allowed. Although the house is in the centre of town, it is located on a quiet street. The railway station is nearby but as this is the end of the line there is very little residual noise with regard to trains arriving or departing.
