Cozy cottage set among forests of Sahayadri . Spectacular views and water falls during monsoon. Ideal for trekking or a quiet commune with nature. On Amby Valley road (30 mins from Lonavala) it is close to Machan, Mahindra Pawna Lake Resort and Hilton Shillim. Relax on the lawns of a large garden surrounded by flowers and trees. The cottage is furnished with colonial furniture and has all modern amenities with a fully functional kitchen. Our place is ideal for those seeking peace, quiet and relaxation away from the chaos of Lonavala. Breathe in pure, clean air fortified by the surrounding forests. The temperatures are several degrees cooler as it is located 1,500 feet above Lonavala. Come experience different seasons; each being unique. The riot of flowers and shades of green are a visual treat in spring and summer. The garden is full of chirping birds, colurful butterflies and buzzing dragon flies. During monsoon, the entire area is shrouded in a mist. Watch the clouds roll down the mountains and hear the roar of waterfalls as you watch a stream flowing through our back yard. Walk through the forest trail where every square inch is covered in lush green and teeming with insects. At night, the garden is an explosion of fire flies. Winter is a time to snuggle up in bed with a warm blanket, a hot cup of cofee and a book. Temperatures drop to 10 degrees or lower and warm clothes are a must. Board games and carrom will enhance your family time together. Spend time at our compost pit and learn about vermiculture. Also enjoy the joys of growing vegetables at our vegetable patch. Access is available to all areas of the cottage and the gardens. We visit often but even in our absence the place is well looked after by our care takers who live on the property. It is advisable to come in your own car so that you can drive up to Pawna Lake for boating or simply drive around the rustic countryside filled with rivers and rice fields. Also visit Lion Point and Club Mahindra Pawna Resort, both of which are approximately 15 minutes drive. Go for walks in the adjoining forest trail. During the monsoon, there are rivulets from the water falls flowing down from the hills. For the adventurous a trek up the hill and the stunning view from the table land on top is worth the effort. A trek to Tungi Fort is also worth doing. Pick up plants for your home, including exotic orchids, from the Essar Nursery which is just a 10-15 minutes walk away. Public transport is not easily available. There are no restaurants close by. Cooking is not allowed. Our caretaker will cook delicious meals for you but you need to confirm 2 days prior to your stay as there is no market close by. Cost per person: Breakfast: Approx. Rs. 100 to 200. Lunch: Rs. 550 (Non Veg) and Rs. 500 (Veg). Dinner: Rs. 550 (Non Veg) and Rs. 500 (Veg). Menu will be provided after booking. Cash payment is to be made to the caretaker.
