Rossmay House is a peaceful, loch side retreat, with direct access to the beach. Spectacular views across the loch to the surrounding mountains 4 bedrooms (2 double, 2 twin) sleeps 8 max. Ideal for families, friends, multiple couples. Living space and kitchen. Great base to explore Scotland, 45 minute drive from Glasgow Airport, located within the "Loch Lomond and The Trossachs" National Park in Argyll & Bute. A short 5 minute drive to Loch Lomond Super Hosts since 2015 Rossmay House is an Victorian era property which has undergone a complete refurbishment in 2017. It is situated south of Arrochar in a small area known as Ardmay. Four bedrooms, two with double beds, and two with two single beds each. Sleeps a maximum of 8. Each have their own en-suite shower room and a bedroom lock and key. Full use of Kitchen and utility room. Relax in the living room and enjoy the views in the front sun room. There is a large driveway so free parking is available. WIFI available throughout the house. Private bedrooms and en suite bathrooms. As you are booking the whole house, the kitchen, dining, and living area are for you to use. You are also free to use the beach and the loch. There is a key safe to allow for a self check in. We will provide you with the code prior to arrival. We do not live in the house but we are available if needed. We sometimes have staff who look after the gardens of the estate during the day. The village of Arrochar is a 2 minute drive away. It has restaurants, pubs, and a fuel station. There is a community centre too with a great cafe. There is also a deep sea diving centre too! The famous hike at The Cobbler is probably our greatest tourist attraction. Due to the remote location, a car is recommended. The nearest train station (Arrochar & Tarbet) is a 45 minute walk. There is no local taxi company. If you need a taxi, then you will need to use the company from the next town which have quoted us £40 for a trip to the train station. The nearest bus stop is in Arrochar, a 30 minute walk. The nearest pub/restaurant is the famous Village Inn which is a 25 minute walk from the house. There is a open fire in the living room so young children should be supervised at all times.
