Cozy King Bedroom + Private Bathroom

We have been hosts for almost 4 years and now that our house only has a few things left to renovate we decided it was time for a new listing. Previous reviews are in photos. Spacious private room with attached bathroom. Decorated to make you feel at home and not in a bleak hotel room. Outside of Ames city limits. We are not in Ames city limits, our house is in a private high end woodsy neighborhood 6 miles north of Ames. If your stay is only a couple of days, then treat the space like a hotel. However, if you are staying for weeks at a time, treat it like an apartment. For example, you will expected buy your own toilet paper and do your own bedding laundry. Some areas of the house are being renovated and are under construction. This WILL NOT affect your room or stay in any way. We have THREE dogs which may occasionally wander around the house but only when we are home and never into your room. The driveway is a single lane paved road - look ahead and drive slowly for oncoming traffic. It is not lit at night, use your brights and follow the check-in instructions. It’s dark but not “scary.” We love living in a quiet, scenic neighborhood. Outside of city limits, house numbers can be found on blue signs at the end of the driveway. You have access to your room and the laundry room. You may use the kitchen for cooking if your stay is an extended stay. We work very weird hours as we have our own business in Ames. Sometimes we do not come home until about midnight. We will try to be as quiet as possible. We apologize if this is an inconvenience. You may not see us in passing if you have a short stay. Private, secluded, nature is one step outside. Very quiet at all times of the day. One lane woodsy driveway, so watch for other cars and drive about 15-20 mph. You will need your own car most likely, as the house is 6 miles outside of town. There are services available if you need a ride to/from: Ames Auto Rentals for a rental car. Uber/Lyft (if available). House is always under renovation. It won't affect your stay but if you are expecting hotel-like rooms and furnishing then we are not it. HA! We do hope that if you choose to stay here, but also hope that you acknowledge the hard work we are putting into this house instead of looking at what isn’t finished yet.
